Ratings & Reviews for LG Impeller Extra Large ( 5.5-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Matte Black )

Water Efficient Washing Machine

I bought this washing machine and had it installed. The washing machine works great and the crew that installed it were awesome!

Not sure what to say at this point

I bought this a month ago with the matching dryer, the washing machine broke on the first day. Washer was replaced a few days later, that one broke after three days The second washer was replaced with a third one that has since lasted nine days and just broke about 20 minutes ago. Three brand new wash machines in a three week span, all broken. I don’t understand this.

Good machine. The settings for the app are a bit confusing and doesn't seem to have the settings that are normally on a machine or easily accessible. Does a good job with cleaning clothes even though.

High capacity and clean clothes

Good top load washer with high capacity. It gets my clothes clean quickly. Took a star off because for the price, the touch buttons should work more easily.

I have done a load of wash yet

Very polite, fast and just a great delivery. I give them a 10 out of 10

Lid hinge broke

We've had this washer for just over two years. Today the entire lid broke off at the hinges. I was able to completely lift the lid off the machine. As you can see from the photos, the plastic around the screws on both sides is broken so there is no way to reattach the lid. I expected better from this brand and for this price.

Nice

Bought last month and wife is super happy with it.

Highly recommend

I bought this a month ago and it’s been AMAZING! It is 100 times better than our previous washer, it actually feels like our clothes are getting clean again. It also fits our comforters nicely where they actually have space to wash.

So Nice and Quiet

This unit replaced a Samsung that was always SO noisy and was rusting fer only 3 years. This machine is night and day different! So quiet, much easier to un load. Very happy with our purchase

Leaks water from the bottom

I wouldn’t recommend this washer. We haven’t even had it a year and it intermittently leaks water from the bottom. Can’t figure out where! It’ll go months without having an issue and then all of a sudden my floor will be covered with water leaking from under the washer. It also stinks like mold and mildew constantly. We’re always cleaning it with oxi clean washing cleaner and that hasn’t even been helping. Don’t waste your money!

Broke on the first day

Did three loads of laundry successfully, on load four it started making a horrible noise. This thing was so loud that you could hear it on the opposite end of the house. Seemed great initially. Let's see how the company handle the warranty and/or repairs. Will update

Spacious and Fast

I’m really happy with my LG washer with the impeller. It’s very easy to use, has plenty of space for large loads, and gets my clothes clean quickly. I also love that I don’t have to spend a lot of time figuring out different settings because everything is straightforward and user-friendly.

Junk

Lasted just over a year. Cheap junk!

Terrible

The washer overflowed due to the valve not shutting off. Flooded my house at 3 am and when I claimed warranty they were rude and still haven’t fixed my washer. It’s been broke for a month.
