Kobalt 40 v 13" trimmer

I bought this trimmer to get an extra battery for my other tools as it was cheaper to buy the trimmer with battery than a battery by itself. Anywho, the trimmer works pretty good, has a small cutting area but cuts grass well. Not as heavy as my gas trimmer and much quieter. Since all Lowes stores near me don't sell the batteries in their stores anymore I am concerned they will quit selling Kobalt products in the future so I may not buy any more. Excellent Purchase

I had used an electric and gas powered trimmers all my life and now that I have carpal tunnel in both wrists, I am unable to withstand the vibration and weight of them. I used this trimmer my daughter purchased and loved how light weight it is and there's no vibration. I'm able to trim the whole yard with one charge. Once I'm done, I place the battery on the charger which is fully charged in no time.

workhorse trimmer

pros: Strong, capable trimmer. Good battery life. Contrary to some reviewers experience I have had no problems with batteries or chargers and that includes other battery powered Kobalt yard tools. Being able to use the same battery on all of them is a big plus. cons: A little on the heavy, unbalanced side. Replacement Head parts

This trimmer was excellent for the first year of use. Once the bump head broke and the inner spring was lost, there are no replacements for the trimmer head. Bought a new bump piece, however no spring included and to this date I have not found an universal product that fits given the fact that an original head replacement is impossible to find. Im worry now as I bought a mower, blower, and hedge trimmer and if something else fails parts seem very hard to find.

Not GREAT !

Bought this in May of 2019 and it stopped working today, 10/22/2019 this has been a major pain since day one. I have a 1/4 of an acre and it didnt make it 1 season. The trimmer design is comfortable but the feed system was none exsistant. You can bump the head and it will stick, then have to flip it upside down and pull the line out. I used the right size line and use 3 different brands and it was the same every time.

Typical Weed Eater...

If you want something that hardly works after 6 months, this is for you! The battery last for about 1/3 of my tiny yard on the 2 power setting. After you go through what cord came on the weed eater, good luck threading it yourself.... it's not hard to spin the cord in a circle but getting it onto the weed eater without it coming undone every time is basically impossible.. it also does not feed itself after 6 months of use... so every time the cord grounds down, you have to stop and struggle to g...

This edger/weed eater is the best one, gas or battery, we've ever had. Easy to handle, and has string that lasts longer than the normal plastic one. Long lasting battery that is interchangeable with other Kobalt products.
