can not find parts

The spool cover broke and i can not find a replacement . I call the help line three time . No answer . The trimmer is useless now

piece of junk

This weedeater is not made for anyone who actually has land. It can not run more than 15 min straight without smoking. The batteries drain way too fast. You might as well get out scissors, youll get your job done faster that way.

Head replacement parts unnavailable.

If you wear the button out on the head Lowe's does not carry it or plan on carrying it in the future. This was found out after a chat with an online representative. And be warned the button wears out fast!

Piece of junk

This trimmer has got to be the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. The string breaks very easily after a few minutes of use and is the biggest pain in the butt to restring that I have ever run into in my life, and believe me, I have owned a fair amount of these trimmers I wish I had read more of the reviews before I bought it!!! Learn by your expensive mistakes!!

bearing broke

Dont get it. It hardly works new, and the bearing broke after 1 year. we hardly trim anyway. If it does work, it simply doesn't feed correctly. It feels like they designed it, tested it for 5 minutes, and called it good

Batter and Charger are bad

I purchased this edger 2 years ago. After 3 months the charger stopped working, replaced it. Now one year later the charger again will not work or charge the battery. I'm torn between attempting a 3rd time buying the charger and battery or just going with a different brand. Doing it over I would go with a different brand, and not go with a Kobalt.

worst trimmer I ever used

I have used many trimmers in thirty years of work and residential trimming and this is by far the worst I have ever used. I am returning it tomorrow. The bump feed and spool setup jammed after approximately 5 minutes. I bought it for my home and was attracted by the two string feed. The design of the head, the feed ports and the over under spool are so poorly designed that it seems amazing it worked for five minutes. I tried different string, respooling, etc to no avail. LOVE KOBALT

Heres the deal. I like kobalt tools, i like the warranty and lowes. That said with any lower priced battery powered tool i always buy the extended warranty because when it quits prematurly your covered. I have the mower, weedwacker, blower, chainsaw, and hedge trimmer. Great deals and for the average home owner they are fine. I would however not reccomend them for yards larger than 1/4 acre. Sometimes there is no replacement for displacement but in this case they work great for me.

Excellent for small yards

I obtained this item at a dramatically reduced price and this greatly influenced my decision to purchase it. First of all, I HATE gas powered string trimmers because they invariably become impossible to start, they're incredibly noisy and they are expensive. Love it

Really strong weed eater. Battery lasts long enough to do all my weed eating on several acres. It’s a little tall for me (I’m 5’5”), but probably ideal for most men to use.

A Power House!

Has great power from the 40volt battery. The best thing is you don't have to mess with gas an oil. Also it starts every time!

More power than my gas trimmer

This is better than my gas trimmer and easy as heck to restring unlike my past trimmers. Lightweight and better balanced tham my past trimmers too. Will say I was skeptical for the price I paid for this set of tools - mower, blower, weed trimmer and hedge trimmer. Special Deal

I got this when they were running a special for a free second battery. The second battery makes this an amazing tool. Light weight, cuts great and the second battery is already charged up when needed.

Battery stuck

Used it until the battery ran down. Went to change the battery out with another one I had on hand and couldn't get the battery out. It is stuck. When I push on the lever it doesn't do anything. Can't use it if I can't change the battery to charge it. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Kobalt man

I love the Kobalt 40 volt line. These tools are tough and the batteries last a long time.
