Not A Good Product

The spool housing broke off after about 8 uses. The string feeder is a pain to use. The tool uses a lot of string. I do not recommend this tool.

Nice when it worked but...

I liked this trimmer but it only lasted a couple of seasons or light use (less than 3 spools of trimmer cord used). It stops working after running for a couple of minutes of trimming. I looked online and it seems to be a consistent problem not just unique to the one I have.

Great Trimmer, Great Warranty

I originally went to Lowes to buy a Husqvarna 40v Trimmer, but the 5yr Warranty sold me on this one. It works great, i have almost a 1/4 Acre lot with sidewalks, patio, etc to trim/edge. I had to buy another Battery because i have to run the Trimmer on setting 2 to edge and get thru high grass i have in spots. The batteries are decent, i just have a lot to trim. It does take an hour to charge, but if the battery is "hot", and it usually is, it must cool down before charging..so instead of waitin...

Works well, but it can drain "your" energy fast

I've had this for two years now, and it does a good job at trimming grass to thickrr weeds.. The battery seems to always last long enough to trim all around my half acre yard with trees and a stone wall and other obstacles... Maybe it's just me, but after 10 minutes this thing starts to feel kind of heavy and after 20 minutes, it feels like a boat anchor. If you don't have a lot of strength or endurance, and you don't have a huge yard, I might suggest a smaller and lighter corded trimmer or a le...

Mediocre Trimmer and Battery

Trimmer is comfortable and has good weight when the battery is installed, but the bump feed system is unreliable and I often have to take apart the head to unspool more line. Also the battery is supposed to be compatible with other products in the 40V line. While the battery that came with my trimmer will run my 40V lawn mower, the battery life is significantly less than the battery that came with the mower (probably 1/4th the battery life). Disappointing with how expensive the batteries are!

Best tool ever for 68yr old woman

I am 68 yr old woman, got to be too much trying to start or change string. Wondered if such thing as battery powered tools existed. Google said yes. Went to Lowe's bought kobalt weed whip and pole saw. Both came with battery and charger. So easy to use and maintain! Batterys are interchangeable charge lasts as says and then some. string on kobalt very strong been using almost 3 months still tons left never had to fuss with it. Highly recommend. Even my 10yr old grand daughter loves to help out...

When it works, it's good

I bought the Kobalt 40v line trimmer. Big mistake. Not because it doesn't work, it's because you cannot get replacement parts. Everything is always out of stock or unavailable. I've rigged this thing time and again as a work around when the bump advance wore out, when the cap cover wore out and when all the working parts ultimately fail. My first and last Kobalt purchase.

great cordless weedwacker

This weedwacker has plenty of power to cut down the heaviest weeds and grass. Also, it uses the same battery as my cordless hedge trimmer

Don’t buy this

I tried to like this but the double feed string just didn’t work ended with me slamming it on the ground till it was destroyed that was probably worth the $180 but next time I’m going for a better string trimmer

best overall

Have used gas trimmers for 30 years. Decided to try a cordless trimmer. I am very pleased with this trimmer. The battery life is perfect for my 1/3 acre lot and there is plenty of power to do the job. No more mixing gas for me!!!!!

Needed something for small jobs like around the fence. Works perfect

Line breaking and respooling is terrible

I've owned this unit for over a year now. I wanted it to work in the worst way because i have the 40v pole saw and blower so its a perfect fit. However, the line breaking / (NON)deploying makes it ALMOST unusable. For my use, I have to trim around my drive which is lined with cobblestones and ALWAYS causes any line to break. That wouldn't be a problem except it consistently breaks right at the spool opening and then the line pulls into the spool. meaning, you have to stop, take it apart, manu...
