Great saw

I am a 73 year old petite woman. I bought this saw because I got tired of waiting for the men in my house to clean up some trees that had fallen. They told me I would not be able to handle this saw. Well I proved them wrong! I like the safety features. The battery has a long life and recharges fast. Truly a great purchase.

Great chainsaw. This is my second one. The first one is still going strong. I have brought down thousands of trees in the last 5 years up to 20 inch trees and cut logs over 24 inches. Battery usually outlasts me, but wanted another battery for longer duration, so purchased second unit because minimal cost increase over battery alone. Be sure that the bar and chain are adjusted B4 use

It's a little heavier than I expected but it cuts as well as any gas chainsaw.

I like that it uses the 80v battery that I already have for the Snowblower and Leafblower, which I love. It is perfect for my uses, which are only occasional to clean up storm damaged 60+ year old maples in my yard. I like that I don't have to mess with trying to get it started after having sat for a prolonged time, no storing gas/oil mix, no exhaust fumes and it is much quieter than a gas chainsaw. Battery lasted a long time.

Cut great and easy to operate. A little on the heavy side, but then again I'm 73 and not as strong as I use be. It is lighter than my old Homelite Automatic!!

Day 1 was great, day 3 it was dead

I really like my Kobalt tools – I have numerous 80v devices which includes the self-propelled mower, blower, and 10” pole chainsaw. The pole saw is amazing so I had always wanted their 18” chainsaw and when a pine tree fell in my yard I decided to purchase one online. I have a gas powered saw but I’m a disabled vet with some spine damage so I can no longer pull start those tools anymore… especially when they don’t want to run. Well worth the money

This is a powerful tool. Cuts like a knife through soft butter. Quick long lating charge. Only complaint. The automatic oiler leaks when not in use.

Buy yourself some chain bar oil - NOW !

Its very strong and powerful. My only complaint is that it needs chain bar oil, but thats not included in the box. And the oil well is dry when it arrives. Seems to me a simple, easy, customer friendly thing to include the oil. Otherwise its a formidable tool.
