Would RecommendI decided to give this chainsaw a go on a big tree that had fallen. It exceeded my expectations!! I recommend buying a second battery so you can go the distance if your doing a big job though.

Would RecommendI have a Cobalt pole saw and weed wacker that are 3 to 4 years old and I just bought the Cobalt 80 volt chainsaw and I am not disappointed. Despite reviews to the contrary my chain is sharp and cuts through heavy limbs and small tree trunks with ease. The battery lasts much longer than it takes to charge another battery. in the attached photo is all of the wood I cut with one charge on a 4-year-old lithium battery and all of that wood has been drying for one to two years.
Heavy, but that also adds stability when cutting.

Would RecommendI bought two. One is still going. The other returned since it stopped working & had a burning smell. The one still working - works great - but has lately had the chsin keep falling off. It is far to easy to put the chain on backwards. Would one arrow be too difficult to stamp onto the chain?! Once the chain is dull you cannot get a replacement kobalt chain. The other brands - i tried 3 - never seem to fit quite right.
