I waited on this one for the larger saw than what the pole saw offered. I am very pleased to say that I was not disappointed.

80 volt Kobalt chain saw

Product better than expected lots of power and features better than the gas equal. I have over acre lot and use it for large scrubs and small trees. So far 5 inch diameter tree and no issues. I thought I was gas power for life, but the higher voltage battery has been a pleasure to own. FYI I used over 2 hours and never had a loss of power still had all 3 green lights (indicates battery life) - good job Lowe's

Works as advertise

I have 80 volt lawn mower, leaf blower, weed trimmer and now a chainsaw. Works great for yard cleanup. I have no plans to fell trees.

What can you say about a 80V saw? Take it where ever, cuts misc trees, great battery life.

Kobalt 80V Chainsaw Cuts Like Butter

I am a true believer in the Kobalt 80V product line. The chainsaw performs like a gas model without the headache of mixing oil. etc. My mower is the best. Mt blower is the best. I am thinking of purchasing the 80V Weed Eater also. It doesn't get better than this.

Quality issues

I attempted to use this chainsaw twice in May 2019. First attempt, battery charged, followed the manual and would not run so I exchanged it. Second attempt, same start up procedure and this time it did run, however, the safety button to unlock the trigger was stuck in the unlock position straight out of the box. This is a safety hazard and the reason these were recalled in 2018. This was returned immediately. Upon returning this, I tried to explain this safety issue to the clerk but it appea...

Better Than Expected

This saw exceeded my expectations. The battery charge lasted longer than expected and the power this thing produces is comparable to my gas saw. I cut logs ranging from 5" - 12" diameter and it never bogged down or lost power. The chain did come off one time but that was user error, took a couple of minutes to get it back on and away I went. Having already bought the Kobalt leaf blower, I now have 2 batteries and that is enough juice for any job I would be willing to tackle. Next on my wish list...

worst saw I ever owned, it jumps off the bar, cannot keep the chain own. I used chainsaws for 40 years and cannot believe Kobalt would put out this kind of product

Excellent power

The 80v battery lasted longer than ever expected. Cut for over a half hour and the saw had as much power as from the start. Bought into the system with the blower and hedge trimmer and I am well satisfied with the power & cutting ability. No more 2cycle gas nor chords to worry about. Very satisfied!

Light weight and easy to use

I purchased this product to cut small to medium trees. I works well for straight cuts. I cutting in brush and trees the chain has a tendency to come off.

80 V chainsaw

Compares to a full size chainsaw. Cuts good. Easy to use. Haven’t used on big stuff yet, went right through 3-4 inch small trees.

Sold my gas Cain saw for electric and love the electric chain saw. No more hoping it will start, no more disturbing the neighbors. Is as powerful as my gas chain saw.

I have a 1 acre lot with various old trees and brush; this chainsaw rips right through it all. I was surprised just how long the battery lasts - you only need to rotate two of the batteries back and forth from the charger to work all day long. GREAT for everything!!

I looked at the other reviews before buying. This thing does the job like cutting thru butter. I took down 7 trees, largest being 15" dia. I love the power of the electic motor and convenience of no gas or cord.
