Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 309 -Piece Metric and standard (SAE) Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the tool set for exceptional value and solid build quality, with most highlighting the comprehensive 309-piece selection as an outstanding deal. Reviewers consistently describe sockets, ratchets, and drivers as high quality, appreciating the full range of 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drives with color-coded metric and standard sizes. However, the storage case receives consistent criticism for poor latch design that breaks easily and fails to secure tools during transport. Several note missing deep sockets and extensions limit effectiveness for demanding tasks, though most agree the set covers basics well for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts. Overall, customers consider the tools themselves excellent despite storage and completeness concerns.

Would RecommendI did not get to use the product but I did give them as Christmas gifts and the excitement in my Father & Sons face was perfect

Very good value tool set.
Would RecommendSet is fairly comprehensive. Add some pliers and a few combo wrenches (in sizes that don't come with this set), and you are ready to handle most anything in the shop or field. Quality is very good, and the storage case helps to ensure ALL the tools are still there when you need them.

Tools are good, case is not.
Would RecommendRachets are nice and smooth. Case latches are not very good. Case does not keep internal pieces in place very well. Overall satisfied

Awesome!!
Would RecommendWow! What an amazing deal! I was driving to Harbor Freight to by myself a mechanics tool kit for my car because every time i need a specific tool when im not home, i never have what i need. So, the one i was looking at was a Pittsburgh 225 piece set for $145. I decided to check my Lowes app and saw this beauty, 300 PIECE FOR $99?!?!?, which was available at my local store. So i went and bought it with my Lowes credit card and also saved 5%. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! It has eve...
This is an incredible deal on a quality set
Would RecommendThis is one of the best deals among all the major tool brands today. It has a LOT of sockets and the handy BLUE and RED bands on metric and standard wrenches makes them easy to find in a tool box. The ratchets are very nice with the fine clicks and the overall quality is equal or better than other major brands. When combined with the lifetime warranty its a deal that cant be beat. I didn't even consider the added things such as the 6 wrenches and the numerous specialty torx, screw driver bits et...
