Unsatisfied customer

Right after the warranty expired the lights stopped working, then it constantly said the door was open when it wasn't, and now it won't make ice, and the freezer won't get cold. Stay far away from this fridge. It's caused me nothing but hassle.

Not worth the hassle!

Don't even think about buying this one! We've had this model for about 3 years and have had to manually defrost it at least 4 times now and we lost a lot of food in the fridge each time as it likes to misbehave when we are gone for a few days or more! And don't get me started about the ice machine! At least once a week it decides to partial melt the ice and then jam up! FYI only live with 2 other adults so the doors aren't opened and closed a lot, can't imagine if I had Littles going in and out ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased fridge in Nov '24, didn't actually install it until July, so it's been in operation for a whole 10 days. So far it's running perfectly. Be careful of replacement parts, their an arm and a leg!

I wouldnt purchase again

The right side opening catches before its fully open so i consistently hit my shoulder on it. The only way to access the inside of the fridge is if you open BOTH sides - which i dont like. The ice machine takes FOR-FREAKING-EVER oh my gosh. We're ready to just get a dang ice machine at this point. I drink ice coffee every morn...

Amazing Refrigerator!

Not sure i would do it again

We custom built our home 5 years ago and bought an entire Kitchenaid package. This is the fridge we have. We have had nothing but problems with the lights... the ice maker. This week the entire thing up and died and cannot be fixed. So we are forced to buy a new fridge. NOT happy.

Disappointed - Frustrated

Yikes!  Ice maker not producing.  Freezer no longer freezing the ice cream. Monday - Trusted repairman pulled machine out (1st time since being installed May of 2018) Freon was half of what it should have been.   Ice made one dump in next 24 hours - sad.  Ice cream still soft. Repairman said - what he was afraid of, Freon leak will continue - would be expensive/major repair. Stainless steel had rust stains after 2 months.

The stainless steel is getting rust stains after just a couple of months. I called the place where I got it and they sent a repairman to look at it. He said “it’s not rusting, it’s surface rust.” He went out to his truck, came back with Barkeepers Friend and removed it with some elbow grease. He tried to say it was because I wasn’t using the proper cleaning product. I explained I was using stainless steel cleaner just like I’ve used on previous fridges and none have ever done this. Good but loud

Such a disappointment

I've bought KitchenAid products throughout the years and felt I was buying a quality product with reliable customer service. This refrigerator is almost 7 years old and water started pooling under the produce drawer and went through the freezer onto my hardwood floors, which are now ruined. Sleek and spacious

The reason why I didn’t give it a 5 Star is because water dispenser sprays instead of clean stream so you can’t sit glass in dispenser to autofill. You have to hold it up high to keep water from spraying outside of glass or cup.

Beware

This set is beautiful but don't let that fool you. As soon as we hit the one year mark the freezer stopped working. Got it fixed and a couple months go by and another part is bad. We are now into repairs almost 1K after spending so much money to begin with. So incredibly disappointed!

This is a Whirlpool Product, Issue with Defroster

Buyers be aware that overall this is a good product but while branded Kitchenaid, it is a Whirlpool product. I purchased this refrigerator in 2020. I initially had an issue with the water dispenser and it was serviced several times before being replaced as a lemon three months later. The best fridge we have ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this refrigerator! With the incorporation of a few lazy susans, it is way more organized than any fridge we have ever owned! We always know what we have at all times. Horrible appliance

Bought this thinking it was top of the line (of what we could afford.). Had issues within a year- lights went out, ice melted and water shorted out the crisper controls, ice would form under the drawers, both the inside and outside began to rust, freezer drawers would not stay on the tracks, and finally, the freon totally leaked out and the fridge became a “hot mess”. It was installed and never moved on e we purchased it. No reason to pay this much for a fridge that is nothing but trouble.
