Refrigerator and phone decoy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator works great but it makes a bizarre phone ringing noise every time we open and close the doors. The phone ringing is very annoying!

The heating element which keeps the water line from freezing over totally melted and the water line was clogged. We replaced both and it’s working well. The ice maker may have been left on while the frig was on the floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second KitchenAid refrigerator we’ve bought within 2 years. I’m wondering if we should have bought it. We’ve had it several weeks and it’s already making strange noises. Also, there is condensation on the top of the freezer drawer…just like the one before. I’m constantly wiping water from it. The first one’s compressor went out after 1 1/2 years. This time we bought an extended warranty.

The pull-out shelf is great for making it easier to access the back of the shelf. Being able to store tall items by sliding back a half-shelf is very nice. Our refrigerator

Pretty, but water can leak into the door

This fridge looks pretty inside and out. The interior is a pleasure. I was not sure about the sliding shelf since it only moves a couple of inches, but it is enough to better see and access snacks on that shelf. On the down side, the drip tray under the water dispenser is not well designed. It fills up fast if you spill a little water, but worse, it seeps into the door because there is not a seal between the drip tray and the door. Imagine spilling a little water. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this equipment approximately 1 month ago. It replaced a very similar piece of equipment. We had to get used to this unit's "clicking". After studying normal operation, the only time it does click, is after drawing chilled water, or when it is re-charging the ice maker. We have decided this is a normal noise, and we have learned to ignore it.
