Ice maker quit and other known issues

The ice maker quit after 1.5 months of use. Tech said it is a known issue along with a few others. Brand quality has gone the way of profits instead.

Constantly Broken

This is my second Kitchenaid side by side and it will be my last. The freezer freezes over and it makes a terrible noise. The ice maker broke once in warranty and once outside of warranty. Do not buy this fridge!

Great over all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all the features of my refrigerator except for the shelves on the doors. They tilt down which makes anything sitting on them to slide to the front and bump into each other every time the doors are opened or closed. I’ve tried to take them out and make sure they were installed on the right levels and that doesn’t seem to have corrected the problem. Also the rubber seals squeak loudly when opening or closing.

AWFUL FRIDGE

This fridge the loudest and least effective one I’ve ever had. Parts fall into ice bin. It sounds like my roof is falling in or a 2x4 is hitting my wall when and if it dumps ice.

Nice styling. Terrible and unreliable ice maker.

Would not recommend anyone buy this model if this will be used for daily water needs. Water spills and splashes all inside and around the refrigerator. Accessory failure (Ice maker)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointing! 4 months in and I'm having to contact service for repairs on an ice maker that was working and now is not. I gave 2 stars because service responded quickly to diagnose, but issue has still yet to be resolved. We'll see if Whirlpool stands behind its product to earn 5 stars!

Beautiful Fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is beautiful! The juniper green finish looks incredible and doesn't smudge. Temperatures appear to be consistent throughout the fridge. Items are kept fresh and I haven't noticed any condensation internally or extenerally. The interior water dispenser on my model is super easy to use, ergonomic, and helps the exterior of the fridge stay neat and clean.

I can see everything and it’s all art easy reach!

Enjoying our new Kitchen Aid refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. The internal water dispenserworks great. The ice maker in the lower freezer compartment produces plenty of ice and the cube sizes are Perfect for our needs.

Terrible unit

Within 90 days of delivery this fridge has failed in numerous ways. First the cooling ability failed and I had to buy a temporary small fridge and throw away food that went bad. Then the water hose cracked and leaked water everywhere, then the ice maker failed. Now, even after repair, it’s not cooling the fridge properly. I do not recommend this product and I wish I bought something different. I regret this purchase.

Terrible product, do not recommend

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a fridge. It began having cooling issues within the first 90 days of it being in my home, then the water dispenser pipe cracked and leaked water from underneath the unit, then my ice maker stopped working, and now the cooling isn’t working again. I am so dissatisfied with this product. I’m tired of wasting money on food that just ends up going bad due to poor cooling or taking time off work to have to meet a repair person. Don’t buy this product!
