Horrible customer service

Lowe’s has been horrible throughout the purchase of this refrigerator. We have had replacement damaged refrigerators swapped out two times. The most recent delivery and install doesn’t have wheels and scratched hardwood (obviously without wheels) on install. Lowe’s is now ‘requiring’ for us to work with their third party installer on hardwood damage (Lowe’s can’t help) and me call kitchenaid for the missing wheels as a ‘warranty’ item (Lowe’s can’t help), and I need to figure out who to install ...

Constant issues

DO NOT BUY I am extremely disappointed with this KitchenAid refrigerator. The water dispenser has leaked since day one, and despite contacting KitchenAid and having it repaired at least three times since it was purchased in April, the issue still has not been permanently resolved. Exceptional!

The unit is outstanding. We are very pleased with the interior space, cooling and freezing, ice maker, quiet operation, etc. We would definitely recommend purchasing this refrigerator. We experienced associate service that is rarely seen these days. Tracy in Prattville, AL is the best! He knows his products and works to get the best deal possible. We are extremely satisfied with all aspects of this purchase.

Been Good So Far

Had to replace a 15 year old fridge. Got the counter depth to give more room between the refrigerator and kitchen island. Delivery and setup was great. Based on existing ratings, I hope the ice maker holds up. Otherwise, it has been good so far although the drawers feel a bit cheap.

Love it!

I was first drawn to this fridge for aesthetics, it’s just as beautiful as a fridge can be. Sleek and simple with a beautiful finish inside and out. It wasn’t until I started filling it with groceries that I was thrilled with it. The design is just so good, seems as much as you put in, there is always space for everything and stays organized. I also really like the interior water dispenser. It is so refreshing to have a clean exterior with no ice/water on the door!

Design Flaw

We purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's in February 2026 and while we love the layout and design features of it the ice maker has a fatal design flaw. It lasted 3 months and has not worked more than 3 days since! We have dealt with KitchenAid customer support and all they do is send out Paradise Appliance Repair Service (it takes 3 weeks minimum from the call until they can come out). I really liked the sleek design of the fridge but unfortunately it has its problems. The ice breaker has broken twice in 6 months. We have been waiting for 2 months for the replacement part that is on back order. The ice maker has a serious design flaw that unfortunately has made it useless. I scratched my head reading the negative reviews. I cross shopped the Bosch refer. Glad I went with the KitchenAid. Beautiful appliance and works perfectly. Quiet and well built in my opinion. My only complaint is the door ajar alarm is so low audibly its useless. Other then that its a fantastic refrigerator. I highly recommend.

4th ice maker

Purchased 3/1/2026 4th ice-maker keeps breaking. Horrible design - this is now 9/15/2026! Last repair lasted 24 hours! This is ridiculous! I have been brand loyal for over 33 years! Disappointing! My refrigerator was made in Canada.

Operationally it is great! We think they repaired the side with a spray paint because it isn’t glossy like the opposite side. It almost seems dirty like it was used. But we are not sure. A little disappointing but overall seems to be a great fridge. Things are VERY cold in there.

Ice Maker

Fridge, freezer, and water dispenser work really well. I’ve had this fridge for a little over 3 months and the Ice maker is broke twice. Very disappointed considering this fridge isn’t cheap.
