Fridge, freezer, and water dispenser work really well. I’ve had this fridge for a little over 3 months and the Ice maker is broke twice. Very disappointed considering this fridge isn’t cheap.

Poor customer service

ONE STAR—LOWE’S AND KITCHENAID BOTH FAILED US We purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator from Lowe’s on November 7, 2025. No door alarm - just a quiet ding. Big design flaw

When the doors are accidentally left open, the refrigerator dings VERY softly. There is no way to increase the volume of the “alarm”. If I had known this beforehand, I would’ve chosen a different brand.

Buyer beware

Save your money! This is a horrible fridge. I’ve had this fridge for 10 months. The ice maker stopped working after 3 months, it has been replaced and now works but the majority of the ice is just frost and little flakes. The ice maker is also a poor design, when it’s full and you open the freezer door, ice gets pushed out of the back of the bin and falls to the bottom of your freezer and onto your floor. Zero stars if I could

I purchased this refrigerator the end of April, and from the day it was delivered, it has not worked properly. Over the last four months I’ve spent countless hours on the phone and 12 days off work for repeated technician appointments and the problems still aren’t resolved, but whirlpool keeps giving me the runaround. I have heard the technician on the phone with whirlpool directly say he has done every repair he can and the unit still isn’t working, but they insist on repeating repairs instead ...

Junk

After only a few months the ice machine is broken. It fills the tray with water and then dumps the water into the bin creating a giant block of ice. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS for a $2400 refrigerator. I will never again buy Kitchenaid nor will I buy one from Lowe’s. I’ll stick to Costco who stands behind their products.

Only buy if you like having it serviced every few

We purchased this refrigerator at the end of February and it has been nothing but problems. First there was an issue with the door seal which caused frost to form on everything. Then the ice maker stopped working and now the top shelf of the freezer where the ice maker is has decided to come off the track so it is not able to be used at all if I want the freezer to close. Although it is all still under warranty at this point, 3 service calls in 6 months is completely unacceptable.

Refrigerator great - store not

Very happy with refrigerator although can not say the same for the store. Our salesperson was excellent, however, the store itself needs a lot of help. The politics of the manager are not appropriate.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just called for service again. The seals in the middle of the two top doors drip. After service person left, that evening the refrigerator went on Sabbath mode and we had trouble turning it back on.

DO NOT Buy a Kitchenaid Refridgerator

We've had this fridge for less than 90 days. ice maker stopped working...then water stopped working. wouldn't come out. then, pulled the fridge out and water all over the floor. So here we go. Called Kitchenaid, they scheduled a repair company. repair company comes out, we have a busted valve, the water filter is busted, have to order a new housing, valve, all the stuff....oh and the parts are on back order. at least 4 weeks. So I call Kitchenaid...gotta follow their process...the repair company...

Horrid customer service

$2,800 refrigerator - the doors do not close properly. Store said it was a manufacturing issue and won't repair or replace. Guess how many expensive appliances I will buy from Lowes in the future - zero!!! Unacceptable customer service. I would put a zero instead of one star, but it won't let me.

Expected something a little nicer

It is attractive in general. Love the thin pull-out wooden drawer, it’s a space saver. However, the drawers are all super flimsy - the bottom drawer feels like it will break very soon even when it’s not loaded up with food. It all feels a little cheap, the plastic is thin. We have had service calls twice already in just over a month for the ice maker not producing first, and then leaking and causing a huge sheet of ice to sit at the bottom of freezer, which then melts and puddles onto the floor....

Beautiful refrigerator! I love it. The counter depth fits perfectly in the small space.

So far so good

We bought the whole set in juniper with brass handles and love the look and the appliances so far. Hopefully after reading reviews we do not experience any issues. The ice does fall behind the drawer, but our dog goes in and gets it. lol. I do try and remember to even it out and this does help.

Do not buy

We’ve had this refrigerator for over 4 months and the ice maker has never worked. Service company has been out 3 times and are now waiting (again) on another part. At the 3rd visit they said that Kitchenaid has realized these have an inherent defect that causes ice maker to not work correctly. Also, don’t buy from Lowe’s. You only have 2 days to return an appliance if it doesn’t work. After that the appliance company warranty only covers repairs, not replacement.
