Nice handy well-rounded plane

I really enjoy this block plane, it cuts really nice and has all the adjustments you need to finish your project. This size plane is my go-to, I always havr in my tool pouch, it's great for rounding off edges on trim work or easing The edge on a piece of wood, it's also good for taking a little off of doors that are squeaking or sticking or just for your general wood shop needs. Works great

I used this product to shave down one side of an oak board. The block plane is well made and heavy with adjustments. The blade is sharp and worked smoothly. The oak was left very, very smooth - no splinters at all when I rubbed my finger over the end of the board after planing. I would recommend securing your wood board or door to a workbench with clamps before planing for the easiest and best results, but I was in a hurry and just held my board upright between my feet.

I believe this is a good product but I don't think I was using it properly. I tried but I couldn't figure it out. I wanted to plane down a wooden screen door that kept sticking on the door jamb but I didn't have any luck. I'm thinking this was user error.

Great features

This brand of planes are well built and have good adjustment features. The tool allows you to make precision cuts to many type of wood working projects. Tool is heavy and feels good in your hand.

Works Great and Easy to Adjust

This hand plane is great. It’s well-built and easy to use. I don’t really have a lot to say about this since it’s such a simple tool, but it would have saved me a lot of time spent sanding on a project I did a couple of years ago. One thing that sets this apart from other hand planes I’ve used is how easy it is to adjust the cut depth. Great quality tool, nice and shape

Did some minor adjustments (which you do with every plane) and fixed a sticking door in less than 5 minutes. It come well oiled and very sharp. The plane cut nice thin curls the full width of the door edge. The blade takes and holds an edge that suggests above average materials. It’s a little heavy for its size but good design and worth the money.

Micro Planing at its best

The Jorgensen #60-1/2 low angle adjustable mouth block plane is a solid well made tool that I recommend for jobs requiring fine planes. This block planer is the perfect size to for touch up work on small wood projects. Great size for one handed use. It is easy to shave small amounts of wood for projects that need a finer fit. The planer was easy to put together and adjust the beveled blade.

Nice Little Plane

The Plane is a really nice tool that is small yet can do an intricate job on a piece of wood. The cutting blade is sharp and crisp as it goes over the wood and is easy to control. The adjustable blade is smoothly adjusted by turning the wheel which adjusts the blade for the type of cut that you desire. I tested the "Jorgensen No 60-1/2 Adjustable Block Plane" and found it to be very well constructed and made a precision Block Plane. Simple and easy to adjust and use. This Block Plane will be an invaluable asset to my work shop. Heavy for its size but very comfortable to use. When using it, it creates the perfect shavings rolling them continuously.
