NO....DON'T BUY ......HERE'S WHY

This fan gives off a loud hum like a bad transformer in a florescent light fixture. The lesson I learned is that fans with the largest motor housing are the most quiet. This fan has a medium size motor housing and probably a different smaller motor. I was however surprised at how easy Lowes allowed me to exchange the fan for a different model with installation at no additional cost.

I wouldve given 5stars if the light kit hadnt quit working in 2 yrs. I purchased this fan Item # 294991 Model # 53159 approximately 2 years ago. The other night the last light bulb blew or so I thought. I went to lowes over the weekend (5 days ago) and bought new bulbs. Installed the new bulbs and that did not fix the problem. Apparently the light kit has gone bad. I've searched high and low for 5 days and cannot find my receipt anywhere for the warranty. It's not in my Lowes account althoug...

Simple and quick

Quick and simple to install. Directions were easy to understand. Came with a kit to balance the fan in case of wobble. Cools our large master bedroom sufficiently. Wish it came with LED bulbs instead of incandescent though.

Very quiet ceiling fan

Installed with light kit to replace existing light only in my home office. Easy install (25 minutes). Very quiet. Everything I needed. Good price (~$115).

The best features of this fan is not only it’s good looks, Hunter has designed it so that out of the box installation is fast and simple. The Hunter Waldon is quiet and one of the best 52 inch fans on the market.

Don't buy this fan

Bought this over 2 weeks ago so 5 minutes installation is not true. I had to call Hunter twice to get the right parts because not all of them were included when I bought it. When I finally got all the parts to install the thing the fan ended up not working. But hey, the light works. Really awesome!

DEceptive

The fan box and the Lowes description discuss the sloped ceiling option and the longer downrod...obviously that is why I bought this fan...UGH! The "three heights" (low profile, normal and sloped ceiling) are all mentioned on the outside of the box/ But ALAS! No longer downrod is provided, and this is mentioned NO WHERE until you get to the part about installing the downrods...so now how do I go about finding and buying the longer downrod. What a joke!

Nice Simple Fan

This is a Hunter fan. Good quality. Nice simple, very clean design.

A Great Buy

We bought this to replace an existing Hunter fan that finally died after many years of service. It was fairly easy to install, according to my husband. We are considering buying another one to replace another existing Hunter fan, not because it has gone bad, but because I want a white fan instead of the woodgrain we have now. We are very happy to get Hunter quality at a good price.

This fan blows

Looks great, easy to install, blows a ton of air. I wired on two switches; one three speed fan switch and one dimmer. I Didn't bother with the included bulbs, but instead bought some "relax" GE LED 60w equivalent bulbs. Bright lights on a dimmer and fan speed without needing the chain. Can't ask for a better fan at this price point. Replaced an old MonteCarlo GranPrix 60". Yeah, this 52" "blows away" that 60" blade. -side note: fan smelled a bit of lacquer finish on first install, but it went ...

LIGHT KIT

Purchased only to get the light kit with electronics for same model about 8 years old. Just replaced plug in modules and problem solved. Rental property so will have replacement parts if other than electronics fail or are damaged.

Makes annoying clicking noise

This fan has been in use for 2-3 years, and has always made an annoying clicking noise, which recently decided to get much louder. Also, the blades droop. The gap where the fans connect is so large I'm actually afraid they are going to fall off.

Moves some air!!!
