Works well, but broken parts concerning.

I ordered 3 and two were delivered with the wings broken off. Doesn't make me feel entirely safe hanging a fan over my bed with it. It installed rather easily though and seemed quite sturdy though I do worry about fatigue of the pressure over time. We'll see! I also wish there were screw holes I could use to fasten this. The image looks like maybe it does now. But again, that's the part that broke off. So hopefully they also reinforced that?

Disliked! The round shaft is difficult to grasp, to rotate it to be tight, pressed against the trusses. Other brands have a hex shape that works more easily. Also, alignment of the box and box bracket was difficult to make perfect, which is necessary.

These are great!

I was replacing a ceiling fan that someone else put up, only to find out that they never installed a box and screwed it into a 2x4 that they placed between the ceiling joist. I was able to remove the 2x4 and used this box to correct it.

Not what I asked for

This is not the simple mounting bracket f for ceiling fan you can do an easy install. This is for new construction only.

It works

Used it to hang a small ceiling fan. Works as intended and was easy to install.

Relocated ceiling fixture.

Boxes to shallow doesn’t come flush with the ceiling yeah, have to buy an extension box to use it

Total waste.

A real pain to install. I had to climb into the attic to get it to sit right. Might as well saved money and bought the simple round box that nails to the truss.

This is a fabulous product that was recommended by an electrician friend of mine after I told him about one of my ceiling fans falling. He said improperly installed fans with junction boxes not rated for the weight are far more common than people realize. So I used this box in that one bedroom on the 2nd floor of my home and checked my 3 other bedroom’s fans. Perfect for retrofit

These are very clever. You can do the whole job working from within the 4" circular hole. Very sturdy.

Great product

Easy to use. slightly difficult to turn if inside old work with bunches of insulation.

Simple install

Love these - makes adding a fan box a breeze with minimal tools required. Worth the extra cost Vs installing a stand alone box for the DIYer

Got the job done well enough.

Sturdy and easy to install on old work. As you tighten it down it tends to want a bit out of place, but it’s strong once you get it set.
