4 bolts are tight and box still swings on bar
Would Not RecommendSkip this design. It relies on a circular bar and a saddle that the junction box hangs from. I tightened the 4 box-mounting bolts and got the fan attached. But the fan will swing the box because the saddle never tightens. Don't buy. Find a design with a square bar. I won't buy this product again and have returned the two I bought.

Great for older homes.
Would Recommend1980 house, thought screws were lose on the ceiling fan, took it apart and realized the outlet above was wiggling. It came loose from wherever it was attached when the house was built. This was perfect for this situation. The outlet does not wiggle anymore and my ceiling fan stays nicely and wobble to it.

Legs can break
Would RecommendIt does a great job. I love that I did not have to get in the attic to install the brace to support a fan and light. I didn’t get the first situated correctly on the sheet rock and 2x4’s. When I tightened it the pressure was against a leg and it broke one off.

Awesome Product
Would RecommendNo more finding the spot you want and then moving to the closest rafter to nail in a box that will almost be where you want it. This box is on a screwed rod that extends in between rafters and locks in tight. More importantly, you can locate the box exactly where you want it.
