What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this ceiling fan and light mounting box for its exceptional strength and ease of installation. Most highlight the stud-mounted, saddle-clamp design that securely anchors heavy fixtures directly to joists, describing it as far more stable than traditional nail-in boxes. Many report installation is quick and intuitive, requiring no professional help. Reviewers appreciate its versatility for ceiling fans, wall sconces, and lights, especially when fixture placement conflicts with stud location. A few note the U-shaped design slightly reduces internal wire space, and rare fit issues occur with non-standard joists. Overall, customers consider it a reliable, secure solution worth the investment.

Would RecommendThe ceiling electric box isn't only for ceiling fans. For those DIYers this is the perfect box to use for light fixtures on a wall when your wall stud has unfortunately ended up in the same location your are wanting to put a light fixture up and would have used a electrical light box. It is actually a tighter fit. So next time a stud is in the center of your lighting project simply use the ceiling electrical box.

Buy the Carlon I bought this and returned.
Would Not RecommendThere are no instructions for installation even on the web site for this product. You will notice that there are no screws for this model in the photo. There are some in the box but not the ones you need to hang the mounting bracket for the fan. However, if you look at the carlon you will notice that it does have screws for mounting which is kind of important.

So installation was a snap. The only negative, aside from the very high pr...
Quick and handy for a ceiling fan
Would RecommendEasy to use. Quick installation. Don't have to do a lot of extra work to install a ceiling fan box.

Product works well on newer ceiling joists, but if you are planning on using it on older lumber, the Channel is too narrow. This occurred on one of the rooms being remodeled

Fits 2x4 Perfectly
Would RecommendI used this product when roughing-in the wiring of the office in my barn. It is more expensive than the standard round light/fan box, but its fit is great and easy to use.

Excellent to use if you have attic access. I reinforced it to hang heavy ceiling fan. I hung from it to test
