Ratings & Reviews for Google Nest Cam with Floodlight - Outdoor Wired Smart Security Camera

Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality of the video is not great but I might just be spoiled in that regard. Installation is not the easiest but pretty straight forward. I really like how it implements with the rest of the Google nest products. Recommended.

the best security floodlight cam on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace a Different outdoor Camera We had and I was not disappointed. The quality of the design is really top notch. It is rugged, clean and sturdy. It comes with an exceptionally long power cable so you can reach distant outlets. My closest outlet was 10 feet away and I needed about 16 feet of cable to reach it. It also comes with all the screws and fasteners one will need to mount it on a variety of surfaces. It's that kind...

You are Just Google not Google/Nest

I am a long-time Nest enthusiast. We have 5 Nest IQ cams, Nest Doorbell, and several Nest Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectors. We needed a floodlight as our old one went out and thought to give the Google/Nest Cam w/ Floodlight a try. After installing the floodlights and trying to set up the Cam in the Nest app, I came to find that it is not compatible with my loved, easy-to-use Nest app. Google, we don't want to use your outdated, clunky Home App (it sucks). Google, you took an excellent Nest ...

works awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a long time for a remote camera to surveil a remote worksite. this light and camera combination works perfectly. the lights are adequate to brighten a large area, the camera is crystal clear and allows the smallest detail to be observed from home

Just want I needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy to have added my nest flood light camera to my boat dock. I’m not always nearby and I feel better knowing there is now a way to alert me if anyone is on my dock that shouldn’t be there. Installation was fairly easy since we already had wiring in place. Start to finish set up took abt 15-20 mins including adding the camera to my google home network. It may definitely take more or less time depending on the complexity of location c...

I like this Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice camera combinations. The only down side I am having is that the I had to mount the camera on the soffit were the old floodlight was. when doing so the camera cannot be plugged into the unit and used. It does not have the cord to rotate that far. I am going to have to install an entire wiring system and determine what to do with the hold from the prior light. It has a great picture when it can be adjust to cover the yard...

Great Product!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nest has really delivered with this new floodlight/camera. In my opinion, this was a must needed product for nest for a long time. This camera has similar features to the other camera's and work's seamlessly with my other nest products. I would certainly recommend the product to anyone!

Keep an eye on your Nest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great way to keep an eye on your home with the nest cam with flood light. The flood lights are a great way to see what is around the corner when it is dark. It helps you to have a safe feeling when walking outside when you can see what’s outside. The nest came to really neat to see what’s happening at your house when you aren’t there.

Great flood light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to set up and install. They work amazing at night. The light doesn’t distort the camera at night. Still crystal clear picture. Great for peace of mind when going out on vacation. Highly recommend.

Trusted Security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed on the garage side of the house which is heavily wooded and very dark. The camera set up and installation is easy. The camera has a back up battery in the event of a power outage. The flood light is a bonus. I am very please with this product.

An excellent security camera and spotlight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Cam with Floodlight replaced a very old and barely working Ring Cam/Floodlight which is what I have been used to for the past several years. Overall, the Nest Cam with Floodlight was an excellent replacement. Installation was a breeze since I already had a hard-wired device there - it was simply a function of switching them out. Took less than 20 minutes to install and be up and running. The instructions are slim, though relativ...

I love this Nest Cam!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had Google/Nest products in my home and was a big fan, so this camera was hopefully going to be the cherry on top. The product arrived quickly once shipped. It looked fairly easy to install, but I still had a professional do it so that I wouldn't mess anything up. Installation took about 20 minutes or so, the camera linked right to my Google home app with ease. The camera view is AMAZING, very clear and precise. It records sounds, so ...

peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i feel completely confident in Google and their products so i was excited to trry this camera with the floodlight. it covers my front porch area perfectly and i have peace of mind that the motion sensors will work

Awesome Cam/Flood Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome features. Setting up is more involved if you do not have pre-wiring. Because I have 2 torch lights on the side of my garage door, I had to drill a hole in the upper center and wire separate power. Once that was done the set up was easy. Google home easily finds and installs camera light. Once installed you can set up zones. If you don't set up zones, you will possibly get alerts every time a car drives, people walking by or an ani...

Super clear video and powerful light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this up in just over an hour. I would recommend mounting it directly to the junction box. Instructions were very clear and precise. In fact the hardest part, was taking down my old, nonworking floodlight. Without a doubt, the video and sound quality are top notch. The light is very strong and brightens a very large area. I like the fact that it has an internal battery. The motion sensor is very sensitive. There are multiple setting...

Sunlight in the Shadows

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we moved in to our new house, the floodlights were sub-par and we wanted to add to our Nest system with the Nest Cam with Floodlight. Since the wiring was still sufficient, we were able to install the new cam easily. The app was already downloaded and now we have a floodlight that is as bright as sunlight amongst the shadows of our one acre lot. Now to the digital component: the image quality is exceptional and the supporting features i...

Bright & Effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already have quite a few Nest products in our home so this was an easy addition for us. Additionally, we had an electrician out at the house when this arrived, so we asked him to install/ set it up for us which made it even easier. We love having this outside as it is nice and bright and quickly detects the motion. While we don't have a large amount of crime in the area, I believe this is effective in detering any criminals that would ta...

NOT MOTION DETECTION, MUST TURN LIGHT ON MANUALLY

Too expensive for a camera with lights you have to turn on yourself
