Ratings & Reviews for Google Nest Cam with Floodlight - Outdoor Wired Smart Security Camera

Google Ruined Nest

Don’t read all the 5-star paid/sponsored reviews. Let’s be honest the camera is just ok and Google should have never messed with Nest. For one the Nest app is way better and easier to use then the Google App. If you have older nest cameras enjoy using two different apps for your cameras. WAY TO GO GOOGLE!!! The two flood lights are super bright, and I was surprised based on their size. The camera itself is just ok. So, let’s think about where most people are mounting these, over a garage,...

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally got some nice weather to get this installed. Installation is really straight forward. Remove existing light, make the connections and install the new device. Camera is simple to set up and the video quality is very good, even at night. Lights are bright and are fully adjustable. Would recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor light with a camera.

Great outdoor cam!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Cam with floodlight was easy to install over an existing outdoor light fixture. The picture quality and video quality is excellent. There’s several settings for the floodlight well. It’s a great product and I would recommend this product for someone who is looking for a security camera with a floodlight.

Great light, great value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light works very well, easy to install, remember it is wired, so keep that in mind. Seems very well made, not worried about exposure to the elements. Picture quality is better than expected. Overall, very happy with the light

Great combination flood light with camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well with the Nest Flood Light with Camera, there are several things I really enjoyed about the camera and some not so much. For starters, the design. As I opened the Nest packaging, I observed a futuristic looking (white in color) Nest flood light with the camera. The Nest build quality appeared to be exceptional with clear precise mounting directions. Even in the bitter cold, I was impressed that installation and mounting for the Nest Flo...

Amazing flood light and camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, yes I did get my Google Neat Cam with Floodlights in a a little over a week ago and it took us until Saturday to get it up with working and it getting dark sooner we didn’t have enough light to get it installed. It did take us most of the day with moving and rearranging the mounting spot. We decided to mount it using the wire from our flood lights that would always blow or what not. Took us mounting it upside down and so we re-mounted it h...

Easy Install, Doesn't Play Well with Others

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Cam was easy to install. It connects with the Google Home app so you can set up and customize how you want it. For example, you can set the sensitivity so it will know the difference between an animal walking down your driveway and a person. It's quite bright and reacts quickly when sensing motion. And the 1080p HDR video and night vision make it really easy to see what's going on. I really like this floodlight camera and would ...

Great camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this camera and light about a month ago and we love it so far. It shows us clear videos and I like that it stores them. I also like that you can send a video to your device to keep it. The installation was super easy also.

Could not get it to work with the application

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to replace the floodlight on the side of my house. First off nicely packaged. That is the end of the pros. Very little written documentation, must watch online videos. I hooked it up as described in the video. It had power and lights blinked. Tried connecting to the application but no luck. No diagnostics information either. I have hooked up many smart devices but this one I could not get to work.

Super impressed with the google cams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation was pretty straight forward and hooking it up to the app was really fast and not overly complicated. I have other nest products and this integrated nicely. The color on the video is very sharp and clear. I installed it in my yard where we have little light and it is actually pretty bright. I am able to watch the video when my dogs are in the yard and I am working at my desk. All in all I think the camera is great and the ...

Extra safety

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Cam with the floodlight allows for additional safety. My previous floodlight was picking up movement that my cam didn't register. Now those are combine and work perfectly. The Nest quality is maintained and now we get better resolution from the floodlights. Highly recommend.

Great Camera and Light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest camera and floodlight is great quality and should hold up to the harsh Midwest weather. We have small dogs and live in area where coyotes are common. The floodlight helps us both deter coyotes and allows us better view of the backyard when we take our little guys outside at night. Easy to set up and the app is easy to use. I love all of the settings available. I’m going to look into the subscription to service for even more feat...

Reliable Notifications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nest Cam with floodlight has built-in intelligence that can tell the difference between a person, a vehicle, and an animal. It alerts you when there’s important activity, and lights up automatically so you can see what’s happening. You can use your existing outdoor light power to swap out your existing basic floodlight and use the same wires for power. Nest Cam with floodlight requires the Google Home app and a Google Account and it’s not compa...

Love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is really great! Video is super clear whether it’s day or night and I love how the light for the night vision isn’t as bright as the actual flood light that comes on with close motion. It was really quick and easy to install.

Really cool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this setup is really cool! I was concerned at first that installing and setting up my Nest Cam with floodlight, but it wasn’t too bad. The installation of the floodlight was pretty straight forward as it was replacing an existing floodlight. Nest provides YouTube videos for installation and setup that makes things much easier. You will need to download the Google Home app and then follow the prompts. The Nest Cam connects to the floodlight w...

Awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this floodlight/camera combo. The install and setup was super easy. The floodlight brightens can be adjusted through the google home app. The camera is very clear and records when motion is detected. We love that you can access video recordings without having to pay a service fee. We’ll be switching out all of our home cameras to Nest cameras in the future.

Looks good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google nest cam with flood lights is a good product. I received it in good packaging and looks really nice. The installation wasn't the easiest as it was wired so I had to get someone to help me set it up outside. The flood lights work well. The features are great and it's clear. I would prefer the battery operated just because it's a lot of work to install. Overall I'm satisfied.

Easy setup & works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got a Ring camera for Christmas, but it would not work with our older electrical system, so we returned it. We got the Nest instead and set up was super easy (took about 30 minutes) & it was compatible with what we had. It is hardwired, so it never needs charging. The picture quality is very clear and so is the sound, but it does pick up the wind very easily. Downloading & setting up the app was very easy! I am really happy with this produ...

Great floodlight upgrade!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent floodlight and camera! Installation was pretty easy and straightforward. Everything is included in the box and there’s also a video that can help walk you through it. It took us less than an hour. The light is nice and bright and you can customize the time it stays on after an event. You can also customize the sensitivity of the motion, it also has person and animal detection. The picture is clear and crisp both day and ...

Sense of Security!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently received and installed the Nest Cam with floodlight. This product has definitely provided my family with a true sense of security and safety. Super easy to install, and set up. We chose the front of our home for the system, and we can now see anyone or anything that enters our front yard from the street! Thank you Google & Nest for producing an amazing product!
