Ratings & Reviews for Google Nest Cam with Floodlight - Outdoor Wired Smart Security Camera

Amazing… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love the LED lights… Gives awesome coverage and brights up my entire backyard… Terrific!!! Ended up buying a second one.

Easy to install.

Like being able to see the area clearly, wish it was a regular floodlight that stayed on all the time. Very dark when not on

Excellent outdoor camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wired Google Nest camera is designed to replace existing outdoor light fixtures. We installed this above our garage door so that we could be alerted to activity in our driveway. Installation was quite easy since we had an existing fixture. This camera has night vision which my doorbell camera does not, so this is a nice feature. It works with my Android phone and will record for up to an hour even when the power is out.

Great video

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This floodlight is great. It was really easy to install. Love that its hardwired. The lights are bright and provide a lot of coverage. The video quality is great. I can see everything clearly. Overall a great product.

Now we’re talking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Too many of these are low quality, overly harsh light, and not very smart. This completely upends that. I like having it as a wired device so I don’t have to worry about recharging the camera all the time. The light is soft, yet blends well with the lights everywhere else on our house. Easy to hook up to our network and easy to get around in the Google UI. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a smart camera.

Nest Camera with Flood Light

Waited a long time for Google Nest to release a flood light camera. Easy to install. I wish that you could view the flood light camera in the Nest App, however, you can only view it in the Google Home App.

Great smart security camera

Super bright LED and pretty good picture and smart. You can set so many of the settings from sensitivity and zone specific alerts and recordings. It also pairs seamlessly into the google home and app

Great for the garage!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a very busy road on my garage side. I am always worried about the safety of the garage view. I have installed this nest cam with floodlight which is a really easy step to install and set up. The application provides simple details to install and set up the camera. It also has a setting to view different types of detection like animals, vehicles, people, motion and etc, Which is easy to find a video if we needed to search quickly based on...

Works great but a few quirks

The floodlight camera works great but requires the inferior Google Home app. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEST APP. I knew that when I bought it but still that's annoying. The reason I gave it three stars is actually this camera is designed to be installed on a vertical surface. It is NOT meant to replace an under eave floodlight. The install instructions all refer to installing it on a vertical surface. I went ahead and installed it under the eave anyway,it does function but the sensor is les...

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Cam with Floodlight is great. It looks very contemporary and sleek. It was extremely easy to set up and the floodlight aspect gives off a nice amount of light. The camera quality is also very good! I set this up in my backyard so I can keep an eye on things. The phone app for this was really easy to set up too!

Great Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used many camera options in and around our home. The Nest cam was easy to hook up and download the app to use. Nest cameras have an excellent picture quality and the best I have seen. When there is motion it automatically turns on the floodlights and lights up the area. You can turn on the lights at any time and speak through the camera. It even allows you to set up timers for the lights to go on and you can swivel the lights to a direc...

It's a solid product

Comes with everything needed to install. Clear picture. Adjustable brightness. Good motion detection. My dislikes are: no dusk till dawn option and does not integrate well with existing Nest system.

Well lit driveway

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our nest floodlight cam. We put it up by our garage driveway because it can be a bit dark at night. It is so nice that we can now monitor any activity there. If the camera notices any sound or motion it automatically alerts my phone which is very convenient. Camera was super easy to install. The phone app is user friendly and easy to navigate. I like that I can have all my home monitoring in one app.

Beyond spectacular!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Cam with floodlight (wired) is beyond spectacular and fit perfectly to my house security needs and setting. It was easy to setup because of the precise clear directions contained in the packaging. The light output is excellent during the night time and the camera view and sound is clear and crisp. I love the functions of this amazing product because it protects my house from intruders and is angled perfectly. I highly recommend for...

Excellent for motion detection & recognition

Easy to install. Crystal clear views. Alerts correctly to animals, people, or vehicles. Better instruction on repositioning the camera itself (for a different view of the area) would be appreciated.

Perfect for the pool area

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We built our house last year and our only area we don’t have cameras is the pool area. While we have a locked gate from the rear and child safety gates on each area of entry, a camera with a notification feature is an added layer of security that provides peace of mind for not only my children’s safety but also in the event that intruders happen to get in without us catching it. We do need to get this hardwired so we need to find an area tha...

Feel safe & prepared!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest Cam is a must have in our rural neighborhood. You just never know if someone (or something) can walk up to your house unexpected, whether you're home or not. The floodlight turns on so bright with any sign of movement. Also great lighting for when we get home in the dark and forgot to turn on the outdoor lights! The quality of the video is really great, and I feel secure when I go on vacation for a week and leave the house for t...

Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This outdoor floodlight camera is pretty good and does the job. It was easy to set up and the picture quality it good. Aesthetically it doesn't look the greatest, it's rather big and obvious but I guess that's good for deterring unwanted visitors.

Easy wire and play install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have this light and have also set up several competitor R products. This was by far easier to install after wiring it is. The mount was easy to add on. Wiring was pretty self explanatory. Picture quality is excellent and the range was easy to adjust for the lights aim. The camera feed was easily obtained with my droid device. Easy enough for my older parents to use as well. Plan on expanding with other nest devices.
