Terrible for distances over 10ft

If you need a camera to cover more than your front door, look elsewhere. I have the max sensitivity set to these bad boys running on battery power, and they don't pick up my 45lb dog walking in front of them, let alone a person standing more than 10ft from the camera. I've read that if you wire it, they pick up further distances. But that defeats the purpose of the battery? I'd rather have to charge them every 2 weeks than have $300 paper weights.

Easy to Use and Install

We've tested it both indoor and outdoor and the picture quality is just what you'd expect from Nest products. It was easy to install and easy to use through the Nest App. The camera feels very high quality and the images show that. Highly recommended!

I love using this with my cats!

I can check in on them when I’m not home and it makes me feel safe that they are doing ok and not getting into too much trouble. Since my cats have their own room I know there is a good place to put the camera but this would be a great camera to put also outside for security too. I like how easy it is to use.

Overall the cameras work great. I am only giving 4 starts due to the battery life being less than the claimed time.

Nice camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Google Nest camera is a decent security camera. Install wasn’t bad, pretty straightforward and everything you need for set-up is included. The picture quality is decent, about what I’d expect. Nothing spectacular. I wish it offered some recordings without having to subscribe to their service though. That’s the only real downside.

Convenient camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Cam battery powered is a super convenient way to monitor your property. The camera was well packaged and included everything needed to mount it. The set up was very easy to navigate. The picture is very clear and night vision works great! We love having this to watch the wildlife in our backyard. It's very easy to take down to charge and stays up even in very windy conditions. This is a great camera.
