Ratings & Reviews for Google Nest Cam - Battery-Powered Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Smart Home Security Camera - 2 Pack

Excellent Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t say enough about the google nest indoor/outdoor camera. First, installation was a breeze. It’s small enough that it doesn’t look tacky mounted on my porch. The camera allows me to check on my home any time that I am away. It alerts me during activity and night vision makes it more versatile.

Does not work with NEST app!

I bought these to add to my exisiting Nest cameras and just found out that it doesn't even work with the existing Nest app, just the google home. In comparison the Google home app is horrible, live delay, can't see notification videos immediately. Completely disappointed

Great picture, microphone needs improved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nest camera has a great quality picture, but the microphone picks up a lot of interference. The setup of the camera only took about 5 minutes, and was fairly easy. We set it up in our game room because I have a lot of valuable memorabilia there. The video quality is amazing, and it is able to capture the whole room, but the microphone was making a lot of weird noises that weren’t actually on the tv, I’ll have to see if I can tweak tha...

Nice camera with great video quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The video quality is great compared to other devices I have tried. It has people vs. pet recognition which seems to work so far. The product itself seems sturdy and feels like it will last in the outdoor elements. It does say it is only weatherproof and not waterproof so I'm not sure yet how this will hold up in the rain. I wish it worked with the existing Nest app. Unfortunately Amazon Alexa only has a skill that works with the Google Nes...

Super easy set up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got theGoogle Nest - Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) a couple of weeks ago. The setup was easy as could be, synced it with my Google Home app and it was ready to go. The fact that it is wireless was a huge selling point for me. The magnetic base is super strong and holds the position of the camera exceptionally well even in strong winds and rain. The battery life seems to be great but still a bit early to tell. The picture is not as...

Superb security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve recently invested into smart home devices and features within my home and the Nest indoor/outdoor camera integration was seamless. I particularly like that the camera is made as 2 parts; the base and the camera. The camera is easy to place into the base for to the heavy duty magnet that connects to the base. It’s very easy to change the camera angle this way too! The battery lasts much longer than I had anticipated and charging is a breeze...

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very convenient product. No wiring necessary. I have not yet owned it long enough to know if the battery life is as stated. That said the battery is easy to change out whenever it does expire. Very reliable. I'm happy with the product.

Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is fantastic. I had never had this type of product before and I was pleasantly surprised. We attached it to our outside by our garage and we can see everything we need to. I wouldn't want any other one. It is also very user friendly.

Absolutely Recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been wanting to add some cameras to our home for a while now. We live in a safe area but like the idea of being able to see what's going on in and around our house when we are not home. This camera was a great choice! You install the base with just two screws (and anchors if installing on drywall) and it took maybe 5 minutes. The camera and base both have very strong magnets to hold the camera in place and make it very easy to take ...

Camera + Google = Easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work from home so I am home alone most of the day. It is nice to have a camera to tell me who is at my front door before I open it. I love that this camera is integrated with Google. Set-up was a mostly a breeze. The picture and sound quality seem to be good too. I also like the sleekness and simplicity of design. Might be nice to have offered in a handful of colors to make it blend in more but that is not a very big deal to me.

Great addition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have other brands of outdoor camera’s at my house. The Nest camera does a better job than those do. I like how easy it was to setup and how I could place it anywhere I wanted. Not having to be buy an outlet is perfect. The picture is very clear and it covers a wide angle. I love how I can easily change the settings to fit my needs.

Long battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This indoor outdoor wireless camera is so easy to setup. Download the app scan a qr code and the camera does the rest. Installation is a breeze with the included hardware and offers many mounting options making it possible to mount just about anywhere. The battery charges fairly fast and lasts a long time

Easy installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera was so simple install and set up. The app makes it super easy to set up a well as connect with our other cameras and thermostat. I love having the open to use it indoors or outdoors. Great addition to my Nest collection.

New Google Nest Cam

It is not as good as Nest Camea IQ. You have to buy all accessories to may camera secured from stolen on exterior installation since it is attached to mounting plate with magnet and longer power cord is not included like the original Nest Cam IQ.

Good for Some Purposes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This worked well for what I wanted it for but I would see it falling short for others. I wanted to monitor my dog while I’m at work and don’t need storage of video, for that it works flawlessly. I can view at any time and the video is clear. The sound is good and the microphone works well too. I’ve had other cameras where the mic distorts so that was a plus. I didn’t have any trouble with set up, it was very easy except that I downloaded nest a...

Seamless install and integration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning a set of Nest Thermostats and other Google home devices this was an easy decision. Google products are always well packaged and designed. This Nest Cam is currently being used at a rental property, its great to be able to set up security devices without the need for contracts and have the portability to re-locate. The camera is very minimalistic and is easy to install and set up through Application. It is a great piece of mind ...

Perfect Integration for our Smart Home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently moved and purchased a smart home, and this excellent camera integrated seamlessly with just two quick steps. The quality of the picture even in the night vision mode is crystal clear and mounting it was a piece of cake! I would absolutely buy another one of these for our security needs! ✅ easy installation ✅ simple integration to system in place ✅ excellent image/video quality in both day and night vision modes ✅ can be taken...

lifesaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest cam is a great device. Easy to install and operate. The unit comes in two parts, base & camera. No need to hardwire because the camera hooks up to the base via heavy duty magnet so you can remove to charge via USB cord (included). Only caveat it is hard to pair with Alexa. Still trying to pair. Otherwise this unit is great to have for peace/piece of mind and security and you can view through your phone, save clips, and view battery s...

Nice features and easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a camera for my basement back door but didn’t want one wired in, because we are going to renovate it next year. This camera was perfect for me, it does the job and I can easily move it when needed. The angle is completely adjustable with a very strong magnet base. So cool! And I love the clean white design. The app is easy to use and I had this up and running in like five minutes

Highly Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm already very happy with the nest camera! I have the google nest hub and thermostats, and have gotten very accustomed to the Google Home interface. My previous home camera was very basic and constantly glitched - only really want one to keep track of packages left on my porch. The nest cam set up was incredibly simple and it is connected to my home app. Video quality is amazing, and it covers a much bigger area than my old camera. I can clea...
