Worst product ever

Never have I bought a more poorly working product that not supported by the manufacturer in my life. I installed 3 of this particular outdoor cameras before I left Florida for the north, the very day I leave they won’t work. Battery issues when they are plugged in. So all summer I had almost zero surveillance around my Florida house. Once in a while one of them would work for a bit but mostly not at all. The app is terrible. Camera does not always capture motion even though the view is clear.

Camera is perfect. Only issue is rhe battehry life. Wished it could have been longer on charge. May think of wiring it.

Google provides NO SUPPORT

I have several of these cameras and the quality is terrible. But the worst part is that Google provides ABSOLUTELY NO type of support. The company is impossible to get in touch with. And if you try to connect it to the Home app you're wasting your time. The Home app is constantly disconnecting. I have not been able to operate any of smart home devices using the Google Assistant for 4 days and there is no response from Google. The email address on the app itself is not monitored and is worthless....

The video playback doesn't always work

The camera history sometimes does not show any event at all. There were times where I know full well someone walked in front of the camera, and it never showed up in the history. Also, it's almost impossible to point it downward the way the magnetic base is. Sometimes I need to see what's going on on the floor.

Overhyped - too bulky, heavy

Overhyped: very heavy, bulky and the notifications cannot be super personalized. Video is clear, and it does not work out of the box with Apple Home. Google Home is ok though. After I bought it, I realized that all the YouTube reviews are overhyped or probably sponsored by Google. It’s an ok product, but not as great as the online reviews praise it For a camera at that price point, I would have expected more mobility with the camera.

Great Wireless Camera

We have now purchased 4 Google Nest Cameras (Battery) and they have worked great for us. Depending on how much activity each camera gets depends on how often we have to recharge but on average once a month or longer. Definitely recommend. I've ordered the solar panels so hopefully never have to take down and recharge again.

Be careful buying

I bought these cameras as I thought Google would be a great product. But I'm having some troubles as I can't get them to open each time I want to see. It tells me something is close to the camera but will not open up. I have good internet and I do not know what to do to solve this problem.I may have to get rid of these and buy the brand the dealer told me to buy.

TERRIBLE

We have 3 of these cameras, a Google flood cam, and a Google doorbell cam and they are off line 99% of the time! We had all Nest cameras and there was no problems. We switched them to these and nothing but problems! We have changed our modem to the top Orbi one, then to the top Nighthawk one, our computer, phones, garage door app… all work so it’s not the internet!
