Would RecommendMailbox and stand are easy to assemble and install. Unit is reasonably priced. Will not stand very stable in soft ground. Must have extensions on legs or cement poured around them.

Piece of scrap metal
Would Not RecommendJunk. After struggeling an hour to put it together there is no way to tighten nuts and screws on the flimsy brackets. I have small hands and lots of tools but it is nearly impossible to get into the small space. Also the box is like a long narrow tunnel. Height low too. Cannot fit small packages unless narrow or you can smush them in there. Awful. Hurricane Zeta took out my easy to set up well designed Rubbermaid box and Lowes no longer sells these.
A good mail box.
Would RecommendThe box had all of the hardware required. Everything was in working order. The postman is satisfied that the box will hold the mail that he brings. Looks like I made a good choice in selecting this mail box.

Lasted 3 Years
Would Not RecommendLovely, simple mailbox stand. I’ve always disliked the plastic or gaudy metal stands. The issue, and reason for the low rating was its short lifespan - about 3 years. At that point several areas started to noticeably rust and 6 months later, only 1 “leg” was still in tact and supporting the mailbox. Cheap, thin metal that was inadequately prepared to maintain contact with the ground. Additionally, the anchor points are too narrow (they are two 1in metal tubes) and these do not have enough surfa...
Poor design, obvious shortcuts.
Would Not RecommendI purchased this Gibraltar mailbox and post kit because of good reviews by others, but I am sorry I did. The bottom and top leg sections refused to stay together on the one I purchased, despite multiple hard blows to force them together. Screw holes and matching screws could have been provided at these joints to secure them together, but were not. Possibly the customer is expected to drill holes and place additional screws as needed. The bottom section is quite stable in concrete, but these ir...
Works for light soft soil
Would RecommendIn hard or rocky soil the metal is to flimsy to drive in to the ground deep enough to hold up the box with out the metal bending and distorting. Even in soft soil the stand is not as stable as it should be. I had to drive 5/8 inch rebar into the ground 24 inches to made the stand stable and set the mailbox posts onto them.
Quick Fix
Would RecommendMail box post rotted and box was on the ground. This was a great quick fix. January was too cold to dig and add cement. I simply pounded the base into the half frozen ground and put a few decorative stoned around it to support it. Only missed 1 day of mail. Looks good and took me only 15 minutes to install. I’ll cement it in when spring comes. Highly recommend!

Easy to put up
Would RecommendAfter living here for 14 years, someone hit and destroyed my mailbox. I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a new one since I’m moving in about 6 months so I decided on getting this one. It was easy to install. I didn’t have to dig or use concrete. Luckily my ground was good enough to put it in without a bunch of work. I love it!!

Cheap metal fully dependent on friction
Would Not RecommendBought this as an interim box for our new house until I could build my own. Metal is a thin gauge and bends too easily when putting into the ground. The “mounting screws” all rely on a dimple in the metal frame for support. 2 stars because it was the quick fix I needed, but not a long term solution.

Easy to install
Would Not RecommendThe setup was a breeze. You need to read the instructions carefully as to mount the base properly; Otherwise, the mailbox will be wobbly and you'll have to re-adjust. Besides that it's a great product overall.

It works
Would RecommendThis thing is a simple mail box. Just make sure you hammer that bottom section first others wise the box is coming off. Oh main thing is this thing is cheap and will only go into soft ground. If you have rocky or hard soil forget it. You will beat that thing till it falls apart then the top section won't fit on there and then your left with this duck taped monstrosity of a mail box.
