A luxury and necessity

We have wanted a Generac for many years but kept procrastinating and then, because we are retired and have the money, we finally decided to take the plunge. Further, there were many people in the know who are forecasting more and longer outages in the near future. We did not want to live another moment when the power is out in the middle of January.

Lock on lid of generator did not quite line up - manufacturing issue...

The passage of time will provide more experience to determine the wisdom of our decision.

Dependable system. Straight-forward installation.

Purchased this system for peace of mind. I am so happy it is ready and waiting if there is an outage. I am a licensed Electrical contractor and purchased this system for my own home. I had no trouble getting the unit ready for operation.

Great Generator/ crappy nickel and dime after sale

Generator works awesome. Having to purchase an additional $30 wiring harness to connect to my Solar Controller for remote operation and trying to constantly sell me an additional subscription to get at features on the app after Ive just spent thousands on the generator makes me furious. Great Generator, too bad the marketing /sales team ruined it. As an added irritation, they bombard you with constant emails, trying to sell you on a maintenance plan. Very irritating.

This is our second year with our unit and it runs our house and barn when we loose power

Stop working in less than 40 hours of run time when needed 😞

Generac Won’t Replace This Lemon Unit!

I had this unit installed in 2024 & have had nothing but problems with it. Finally after I complained enough Generac sent out another company to ‘fix’ the unit during the summer. It ran kind of ok, then today 9/11/26 it stopped & another over speed error showed on the app. This has been a long standing problem with this piece of junk & Generac apparently will not replace this lemon unit! Maybe they’ll do something when I get an attorney involved! I know some love their Generac & it appears I hav...

I bought this Sept. 2024, been looking for someone local to call to service it. Had no luck yet in finding someone.

It has worked as advertised in several outages in the first month.

Have had it for almost 2 years. gives us peace of mind when it storms.
