Over priced for the product

Has a nice look to it but is louder than I expected and does not clean as easily as I assumed it would

look elsewhere

wish I would have stuck with another induction cooktop manufacturer. My GE Profile induction cooktop cost 2.5x what some of the other options did but died within 2 months of purchase. GE Warranty Service has taken over a month to get it repaired - still not working yet. In the meantime I don't have a functioning kitchen for the holidays. Stay away

Beautiful Sleek Design and Great for Cooking

We were a little concerned about getting an induction cooktop, but several people who owned one told us we would be happy with our choice and to go ahead and purchase one. We ordered a GE cooktop and, indeed, we are happy with our choice. It is convenient for both cooking and clean up. A great product which I highly recommend.

First unit arrived with several chips in the glass

Awaiting replacement after returning the damaged unit. Chips in the cooktop glass were significantly airgapped from the packaging, so the cooktop most likely left the factory damaged. Will update if replacement arrives without damage

Love This Cooktop!

I love our induction cooktop. It is amazingly fast to boil water and heat food. It looks beautiful and is easy to use. Some people have complained about the “hum” when a burner is on. Yes, there is a slight hum when a burner is turned all the way up. It is minimal. Otherwise there is no noise from the cooktop.

Love the cooktop so far

We've had our induction cooktop for a couple of months now and so far we're loving it. I love how it's instantly on or off, and it heats up and boils so much faster than our old gas cooktop. It's easy to clean, and I love that it takes up so little depth in the countertop that I was able to put a big utensil drawer right under it (we were doing a major renovation with new cabinets and drawers). Great Features

The cooktop heats quickly, is easy to use and easy to clean. We like the Wi-Fi and synchronize left element features.

Does not work

The worst cooktop I ever bought. Worked just long enough for the warranty to expire. Board is bad underneath. Burners will work randomly. Currently one burner works tonight.

Broken and GE didn’t honor warranty

We ordered the GE profile cooktop and had it installed and it didn’t work properly. Some burners would only partially work, it would cook slower than it should, and sometime burners just wouldn’t work randomly. We’ve had multiple service techs come out and say that yes it’s not functioning correctly. They tried to fix it but couldn’t and said it needed to be replaced. Do not waste you time

Do not waste your time with this cooktop, it does not work, GE does not care to fix it and it is packaged horribly to begin with. We chose this cooktop for a kitchen remodel based on the listed features and the fact that it is made in the USA. The first cooktop we ordered came in after two weeks in a smashed box, so we had to refuse the order and wait for another. Simple and effective cooking!

Bought to replace previous induction cooktop. Operation is simple and intuitive. 5 burners makes handling multiple items simultaneously easy and the fine control over levels is great.

New Design with Upgraded Features

The new GE Profile 36-Inch Induction Cooktop is much improved over the 2011 version which I accidentally damaged. The new version looks better with stainless edging top and bottom and has better controls for precise temperature control. Also, the two “burners” on the left can be synced to accommodate an oblong roasting pan or a griddle. Can’t wait to start cooking. Thanks, GE.

Spyware

Bought this along with a number of other GE Profile kitchen appliances. Requires wifi connection opening you up to having your network hacked and all your information leaked online. I refuse to have any appliance that is glorified spyware in my home. Will be cancelling the order.
