I am very happy with this induction cooktop. It is my second GE Profile. We moved and the kitchen had a gas cooktop. I missed my induction cooktop so we replaced it. I had my first one for 15 years and loved it!

Experience with GE Cooktop and products

THIS IS A GOOD COOKTOP. THIS IS MY SECOND GE INDUCTION PRODUCT. MY OTHER STOVE WAS A SLIDE IN WHICH IS SUPERIOR TO THE COOKTOP. I AM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WHICH IS WHY I GAVE IT 3 STARS. THE INDUCTION COOKTOP DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER AS THE SLIDE IN STOVE COOKTOP WHICH COOKS MUCH FASTER. FASTER THAN A GAS STOVE FOR SURE. BUT NOT THIS COOKTOP.

Good unit but doesn't live up to expectations

Induction part works as expected. Disappointed with the precision cooking feature. Hestan Cue pans have very limited selection and there is currently no alternative. The pans consume batteries very quickly. Instructions on how to just cook are non existant. Lots of potential with this cooktop but it has a way to go to live up to the hype.

Cooktop Needs to be Replaced at the 5 year Mark

We purchased the PHP9036DJBB and loved this stove top while it worked. The big issue is that the cooktop experienced communication problems and stopped working at the 5 year mark. The control board experienced communication problems necessitates the need to chase faulty circuit boards starting with the main control board. Replacing the main board necessitates replacing the entire glass top as the control board is affixed to the glass top making for a very expensive fix. The repair person ga...

Not great

Does not heat up as quickly as other brands. There is also a buzzing sound when turned on which is very annoying. Also hard to clean. Difficult to get rid of smudges.

Works good. Just started. I replaced GE electric cooktop with this one . Love so far.

Looks nice and cooks well

The unit works pretty good, may be better after I learn to use the features. The controls are a little finicky sometimes, goes to sleep or something.

Cooktop for a chef!

I am a long time gas cooktop user and this was my choice when no gas was available. I love the quick response in cooking whether turning on, off or anywhere I between. It is a good addition to my cooking!

Piece of junk

Worked only three days then stopped working. Tried return in, but Lowes refused, said I should use GE warranty. So just buy piece of junk and can't receive my money back. Design is also terrible, in fact you can't use all 4 burners, just not enough space. You can use only 1 large and 3 small bowls in the same time. Or only two medium bowls. Don't won't work with many bowls for induction. Not recommended at all. It's not my first induction cooktop, but the worst.

Couldn’t ask for more

Our cooktop has performed flawlessly since installation three weeks ago. The convection works quickly and with numerous levels of heat transfer to choose from it meets our needs. The surface cleans up quickly and looks brand new after each meal.
