What a Difference

I bought this because my fluorescent bulbs were flickering and getting black on the ends. Interference with the radio also seemed to be increasing. As expected, this replacement corrected those things. What shocks me is the amount of light that I now have. I estimate that it has increased about 3X. Had some issues with my 4 ft. fluorescent light fixtures in my home garage that had been there for many years....slow to come on, very dim, flickering. replacement works great!

I replaced a 50+ years old ballast with this new one. What a difference! The old ballast weighed as much as a boat anchor. The new one is a few ounces. So far no problems with the new one. BTW, it may help to watch a YouTube video on how to replace a fluorescent light ballast.

Best ballast

This was an easy replacement for existing magnetic ballasts. Old ballasts were not able to light bulbs fully or would come on, overheat, then go out. I thought I would need to put in fresh bulbs, but was pleasantly surprised that my old bulbs which had begun to blacken at the ends are giving more light than they ever did with the old ballasts, even when the bulbs were new. Instant on, no flickering, no overheating. Win, win, win.

Things are Much BRIGHTER now

Since I purchased the GE Light Ballast and installed it, there is a noticeable improvement. Now when I turn on the lights in the kitchen they come on immediately without any hesitation or having to flip the switch several times. I was buying new bulbs but it didn't help when the lights did come on they were dim.
