Replaced a SL15CW with this!

I Replaced a SL15CW with this ballast. This old light fixture now has 2 LED Tubes which turn on dim then goes to bright. it was quicker and less expensive then replacing the whole fixture.

Slow to go to full brightness

Replaced my old magnetic ballast with this electronic version. Says "Rapid Start" on the box. Expect a full 10 seconds for this ballast to bring your T12s to full brightness. Maybe I will try the LED bulbs and give you an update but so far not impressed at all.

Used for LED fluorescent replacement

Had an old fixture with non compatible ballast. Selection of universal LED tube bulbs is good, so replaced ballast with this one. Good price. Worked well.

I was very disappointed with the long start time of this ballast, after going through the expense and effort of replacing the old ballast. Instead of returning the new ballast, I replaced the also new fluorescent tubes with new GE LED tubes. The LED tubes started with zero delay. Plus, the brightness and quality of light from the LED tubes far exceed that of the fluorescent tubes, in my opinion. And, the GE LED tubes have a 16-year life expectancy. A good outcome afterall.

Works As Expected

I had flickering lights even after changing bulbs. So I replaced the existing ballasts with these units and no longer have flickering lights.

Works well and easy (relatively) installation.

This works with our old fluorescent fixtures, but due to the smaller size than the older ballasts, it is easier to install. This is because the scaled down dimensions make it easier to fit all of the wires under the cover for the ballast compartment.

Easy Ballast Replacement

The job was pretty easy to do. The replacement ballast was an exact match to the one I had. After cutting the power to the light fixture, it was just a matter cutting the excess wire on the new ballast to the same length as the old one length and matching the colored wires on it to the colored wires on the light fixture itself. Installed the fluorescent tubes, turned on the power to the light fixture and Voila! Let there be light!

it works but not well

Only powering (2) 40w T12 4’ bulbs. Purchased this electronic ballast, replacing the magnetic one that came with the fixture. It flickers a few times everytime before it will come on but then is bright and does work. All they had but disappointed.

I had purchased multiple units of this GE Ballast to use on my 100' 1989 Giorgetti & Magrini Custom Cruising Ketch and they did the trick. The ship had been listing slightly starboard but with careful placement along the interior hull these ballasts corrected the problem. Lowe's comes thru again!!!

Exactly what I needed to repair a 40 watt florescent light.

Work perfectly

I was going to replace my lights with LEDs but still had half a box of good florescent tubes in the box. Replaced the ballasts and now have full light again. Had the same length and mounting points as old one so modification required.

Great replacement

This ballast fit perfectly to replace a 30 year old fluorescent light ballast. Wiring may be a little confusing for the average home owner.

Works as expected.

I'd have given it five stars, but it was a little difficult to install in the existing fixture. Perhaps the fixture was old. Also, since I'm a DIYer, it would have been nice to either include wire nuts or clearly state in the description that wire nuts were not included. The old fixture was hard wired and I had to go back to the store to get the nuts.

Smaller and Lighter Than the Old Ballast

I replaced an old ballast in my lamp with this one and liked the fact that it did not weigh as much . It also took up less space because it was half as thick which provided more room for the wires. It worked like a charm.
