Would RecommendReplaced an old style ballast with this electronic ballast. Puts out a lot more light and the new ballast is a lot smaller and lighter. This is a way to upgrade old fluorescent light without replacing entire fixture. More reliable and more energy efficient.

I got a defective unit
Would Not RecommendThe unit that I installed would flicker when the power was turned on, glow both lamps for a while, and then pop to full power. I was concerned that the unit would eventually fail since the condition did not improve. I don't blame Lowes for the problem since they are reselling this product in their stores and not manufacturing it. I ended up returning it today and replacing it with a unit from a different store which had no problems.

Would RecommendHad to replace the ballast in our laundry room. It was much easier and cheaper to change the ballast than the whole light fixture. very easy to install. Just connect the same colored wires to the existing wires. it took about 20 minutes to do everything.

Would RecommendTwo 48” lamp fixture in laundry room began to fail, replacing lamps resulted in same problem. I didn’t want to replace fixture with newer led technology so I bought the electronic ballast from Lowe’s. Replacement is simple only requiring diagonal pliers, and 8 wire nuts. Secure power, snip the 8 wires from old ballast & remove. Install new ballast, strip 1/2” insulation from fixture wires and connect new wires with wire nuts matching wire colors.
