Problem with New Ballasts

Would Not Recommend

These ballasts do not seem to be powerful enough to start 2 F40T12 bulb even though that's what they say they are for. I've wired two of them in two different light fixtures. They are wired according to the diagram on the ballast. When only one bulb is in the fixture the bulb lights almost instantly but with 2 bulbs it struggles to start them. I've even checked the in voltage. It is correct at 120Vac. I even tried brand new bulbs.

Bad Ballast

Would Not Recommend

I know it's not a major job, but none the less, it takes time. Hooked up and the lights flicker, hum and delay coming full on. Bought new bulbs, same issue. Ball the 1-800# and they said, yep, sounds like you have a bad ballast. Won't buy this one again.

Old ballast was overheating and shutting off light

Would Recommend

It was an exact fit, though lighter and thinner. for the old one. Wires are color coded for ease of installation - matched the existing wire colors from 1982.
