What Customers Are Saying

The product appears to be a high-quality and effective underlayment, with most customers describing it as durable, waterproof, and easy to apply. Many users highlight its ability to reliably prevent leaks and water damage, even in harsh weather conditions. However, some customers have raised concerns about the product's thickness being thinner than competing options, as well as challenges with the sticky nature of the underlayment during installation. Overall, the consensus is that the underlayment is a reliable and effective choice for roof protection, though a minority of users have experienced installation difficulties.

Easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Item worked good. Easy to work with; rolled out and flattened nicely. Easy to set and even re-set if necessary. Only issue I had was that the weather was cool and it didn’t stick down as well as I had hoped initially. I didn’t have a method to warm it which would have facilitated process.

Great product, provides superior protection.

Would Recommend

Peel and stick underlayment provided added protection to the roof repair that I had to make after hurricane Ian tore off a significant number of the shingles and underlayment on our Florida home. I felt more confident that the underlayment would stay in place far better than the old felt paper should we have another storm.

WeatherWatch Thickness

Would Not Recommend

WeatherWatch is only 28 mils thick I was very disappointed This is the reason it's not printed anywhere on the box. Much better products out there.

Response from GAFProductExpert

Hello, the ASTM D1970 minimum thickness is 40 mils and WeatherWatch is not 28 mils; there seems to be some incorrect information you were provided. F...

Very Thin Product only 28 mils

GAF WeatherWatch is 28 mils very thin product. This is why the thickness is not printed on the box!
