What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the rustic aesthetic and affordability, with many loving the natural imperfections and final stained or painted appearance. However, significant quality control issues dominate feedback—reviewers report widespread damage including broken tongues, splits, and warped edges, with many stating only 1-3 usable planks per six-pack. High waste rates of 20-50% force customers to purchase substantially more material than planned. Despite these frustrations, most find the lightweight, easy installation and low cost worthwhile for achieving an attractive rustic look, though careful board selection is essential.

Cracks easily
Would Not RecommendBought 2 packs of these and they split/crack very easily. Also there were a few off color planks. Haven’t finished the project yet but hope the don’t crack anymore.

Versatile product
Would RecommendI've used this paneling for a number of products with great results. My only complaint is there is always some type of damage to the product in a package. However, it's usually minimal and confined towards the end of the package. The most recent project was covering a dark paneled stairwell.

take the time to pick packages without flaws
Would RecommendWe used this under a covered patio . It was about 150 square feet. I had to dig (LIKE REALLY DIG) through packages to pick ones that had minimal flaws. Many are broken or split so go in person and pick them out yourself. They took stain and poly nicely. They went up with liquid bails and a nail gun. They are lightweight and easy to work with. They are not perfect so if you want perfect planks then these are not what you should be using. I love the rustic finished look! Turned out better tha...
Cost Effective Wood Planks
Would RecommendI used these planks to do the ceiling in a loft I’m remodeling and the result looks fantastic. The planks add a nice warm feel and have a nice variance in knots and darkness. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that the planks are difficult to work with. The tongues came off very easily just cardying the bundles around and a lot of the planks were damaged.

Wood worked great! Check the products edges and fittings before purchasing to make sure none are broken.

where is quality control
Would Not RecommendThis product is good in theory but in real life it is horrible. Why even bother to put it in 8' sections? I have yet to use one whole 8' plank. This stuff is so full of holes, splintered edges and splits that I might get 6' useable plank and that is cut into at least two pieces. If I had known this was going to be so consistently bad I would have bought pine and made my own tongue and grove boards. I figured the square footage with 10% extra for installing on our master bedroom ceiling and ...

Quality Paneling
Would RecommendWe used a lot of this paneling to create a ceiling. It went up smoothly, with little waste, and looks great. A great way to cover old stains, popcorn and sagging wall tape at under $1 per square foot.

Works to create a shiplap treatment
Would RecommendI used this to create a shiplap treatment to a kitchen island. While some have reported that some boards have been broken (it is only 5/16ths of an inch thick so I don't know how you can completely eliminate this), I found that most of my boards were just fine. I did give them a look over when I purchased and while there are a couple that are a little damaged, it just added to the old look.

nice product but very fragile. some of the tongue and groove was broken in the package, worked around it and it all worked out. only real problem was one piece that was warped but with a little work it worked okay.
Many broken and warped pieces
We bought 8 packages for our sunroom ceiling project. Although the price was good, you definitely get what you pay for. Because this product is packaged in a thin plastic wrap, many of the pieces were cracked or warped. Each of the 8 packages I bought had boards that were unusable. You definitely need to buy extra packages, as the waste is probably 30%.
