Ratings & Reviews for Empava 36 inch Convertible 500-CFM Stainless steel Under Cabinet Range Hood

Empava stove hood

I bought this range hood because of the specifications but when it was unpacked and installed I was just so blown away by its construction, design, double fan and double light. Have had many stove hoods in my life but not quite like this. The soft glow of the light makes it usable as a night light also. The gorgeous shape and separate buttons for speed fan also make it so easy to use. Definitely an A+ product and something to own.

Seems cheaply made

For the cost, this appears to be cheaply made. The grills attached to the bottom don't sit right and need to be fiddled with constantly. The vent and light work. Just seem less sturdy and finished than I would expect for the price.

A challenging install—but I love it!

This literally took us days to install. Directions were not really clear at all (the first hurdle was just figuring out what all the parts were for) and I’d have killed for an installation video. I had purposely purchased this one rather than a competitor’s because it was supposedly easier to install, but this was just as difficult for the same reason—the holes for screws were in accessible with average hand tools, particularly while trying to hold a heavy unit in place. In the end, we ditche...

Good quality vent hood

We've had our oven vent for a few weeks now and I really like it. It seems very effective, looks nice, and isn't very loud. I'd definitely recommend it!

Looks great, works great.

Looks great, works great. Immediately improved the look of our kitchen. It took 2 of us to install it. We had to convert our hardwire to plug in. Everything turned out great. Suction works great. LED lights are ample. The remote control was a nice touch.

Works great.

Strong exhaust and like high, med, low exhaust options. Looks nice. Lights could be a bit brighter. Like the template provided for installation; however was not very easy for us to install.

Great Value

This range hood is quite attractive and had several configuration options (which was important to us, since we were replacing a 15-year-old hood). Installatoin required two people and some minor electrical knowledge (our old hood was direct wired, and this hood came with an electical plug, so a box had to be installed). Otherwise, it went in fairly easily. It works well, although the overhead lights are not very bright.

Excellent fan, but...

It is rather loud, even on the lowest of three settings. Not a huge drawback, but one of the reasons we did purchase this was the noise level. Another was lighting, and although there are 2 "energy-efficient, 2.0-Watt LEDs" they are so efficient as to not really providing much light. Haven't researched replacements yet, but definitely will change them. All in all it is a great hood fan, and very efficient at what it should do, which is pull air from over the stove and remove it!

Too noisy

This fan works well but it is way too noisy even on the low speed. The noise is unbearable. It also is not figure print resistant.

Nice product.

I love the style of this rangehood. It looks modern to my kitchen. It's stainless steel. Removable, reusable, easy cleaning and maintenance. And also have a soft-touch controllers. Nice product.

Highly recommended.

This product arrive as what I expected time. The noice level is reasonable on the speeds. Is better from my previous range hood. Very helpful for my family. We are very very happy with it.

It’s thin and looks amazing and works great

I absolutely love this range hood! We purchased this one for the thin feature after returning another one. The 5inch height is so thin and makes a huge difference as most others are 10 inch. It opens the space up so much and looks so sleek. Lights are bright and fan is strong and works well. Also love that it has the reusable filters. Most of all, I just love the look of it, simple and clean. No issues with installation.

Installed easy.

Installation was easy, price was good. Arrived quickly.

Great power!

Great suction! I can cook fish and you can hardly smell it! Nice design and makes my kitchen look great!

Solid for the price

Not the most powerful or quietist, but it does what it is supposed to do. Illuminates the cooktop and removes unwanted smoke from the kitchen. Easy to install. Looks good too.

I love the exhaust hood very easy to install looks great ...

I love the exhaust hood very easy to install looks great works great wish I would’ve found this product years ago

Se mira muy elegante

Buen precio excelente producto.I'm 100% pleased so far.

Great Range hood!

this was a good buy. the hood is very quiet on low speed and its still sucks up all the vapors from cooking. I really like the look of it and how easy it to clean.

Value for your money

Extremely well-constructed, almost over built, but that’s a good thing.Monkey simple to install, 4 screws, and you’re done.Plug it in and get to cooking.
