Ratings & Reviews for Empava 36 inch Convertible 500-CFM Stainless steel Under Cabinet Range Hood
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The appliance has a powerful dual-fan design that provides strong suction and airflow, effectively removing kitchen odors and smoke. The stainless steel construction is durable, and the removable, dishwasher-safe baffles make cleaning easy. However, the installation process can be challenging, and the lighting is somewhat dim. Additionally, the noise level on the highest fan setting is quite loud. Overall, the appliance is considered a great value for the price, with most customers satisfied with its performance.

Would RecommendFor the price, you're getting a lot of hood vent with this product. This thing is a heavy beast with its two fans and pulls a LOT of air at its high speed. Was not able to find any other brand that listed this level of CFM for this kind of price. Makes you think they would be cutting corners elsewhere but there is no indication of that considering the longer warranty period and the fact that it has two separate fan units (Squirrel cage style). The stainless steel baffles give it a cleaner look ...
Great price; great product
Would RecommendI purchased this product based on reviews. A bit noisy but very effective. I cook a lot and this product is the best in terms of its effectiveness: the fan sucks all the air, less odor, and its look is great.
Amazing -- drastically improved our kitchen
Would RecommendThis range hood has made such an amazing difference in our kitchen we could not be happier. We had a very ineffective microwave with a vent built in, and we could see the steam and grease of everything we cooked blowing up in front of it and dissipate in the kitchen (and stick to the front of our microwave) instead of being sucked in. We got a counter microwave so that we could buy this under cabinet range hood and are so thrilled by the quality. Even on the lowest of four settings it pulls wa...
Great hood!
Would RecommendThe hood gives off lots of light, the baffles are easily removable for cleaning and it was relatively easy to put in, though you will need two sets of hands
Top notch suction action
Would RecommendWe purchased this Empava hood to replace an old under-cabinet microwave hood. Installation was very easy with good instruction. It fits perfectly, looks very modern, and really opened up the space over the cooktop. I cook a lot of aromatic dishes and am really impressed with how effortlessly the hood is moving those cooking odors out of my kitchen. The lights are bright enough to give a good view of my cooking space even when all other lights are off. And the dishwasher-safe stainless steel fil...
Looks good
Would RecommendVery powerful fan. Maybe too strong…
What a difference the correct equipment makes! My wife and i installed in about an hour and half (after removal of a inferior unit). The removed unit (5 years old) was useless… seemingly did nothing but make noise and redistribute smoke. While taking down we were suprized how light. Once we installed the new Empava we were amazed on how well it worked(explained the heavier weight!). Our neighbors visited after install, and I held a piece of paper close to fans and the suction pulled the paper f...
Great product
Would RecommendI previously had a cheaper exhaust which was of no use since it was circulating air in the kitchen itself. I decided to invest in this product and have no regrets even though it is expensive. It is a bit noisy but does the job well. Product build is solid and well designed.
easy install, powerful suction.
Would RecommendThis hood range has a very power suction. It has a beautiful and simple design, the best part is the removable filter to clean is plus. This unit gives you the option of install rear vent or top vent. I highly recommend this unit.
Great Buy
Would Not RecommendLove my Empava 36 inch stainless Range Hood. It fits my space perfectly and looks very sleek and modern. It compliments my cooktop. The lighting is good and it does it’s job. I also love the way the fan filters can be put in the dishwasher. My handyman had no problem hooking it up. Would definitely recommend it.
Range Hood Review
Would RecommendI ordered this range hood, first for its dimensions as it would fit my current space without changing any of the tile backsplash, and secondly for the CFM. I am very pleased with my order. It arrived quickly. I hired someone to install it so I cannot review the difficulty of install but I have been very pleased with the working product. It significantly cuts down on the steam and cooking smells when I cook. The light is nice and bright. And the best feature is the timed fan turn off - I will set...
This Hood is Not 30-in Wide
I'm not sure how a company doesn't know the dimensions of their own product, but despite the width being listed as 30 inches on Lowes (with info supplied by the company), on the company's own web site, and in the manual included in the box, the product is actually 29.5 inches wide. It does look nice and seems sturdy, and it has two motors, but it's unlikely that I would have bought it if the correct dimensions were listed. Checking out my other options to decide if I'm going to return it or not...
NOT CONVERTIBLE
Would Not RecommendThe description said it was "convertible" but it is not. This needs duct work. Had to return.
Works well and looks great
Would RecommendI bought this hood to replace an old under-cabinet ducted hood in the galley kitchen in my condo. It fits the space perfectly, and I love the sleek, modern look. The three fan speeds work well. I also like the removable filters.
Was sent a broken one, that was rusted and will not work. Can not get ahold of anybody for a replacement. Do not buy.
