Customers appreciate the splitter's power, efficiency, and quiet operation. Overall, the splitter appears to be a reliable and effective tool, particularly for smaller to medium-sized logs.

Would Not RecommendThe log splitter does what it needs to do with smaller logs. If you get any bigger logs even though it's five ton, it won't spit them, it takes several times to split them in. The diameter of the logs that I'm referring to were no bigger than 8 in, but it serves the purpose for the most part

Way better than I thought
Would RecommendI burn about 3 cords of firewood during the fall and winter. The firewood is Douglas Fir and Tamarack (Western Larch). The 20" - 24" diameter logs are delivered split in half and are 16"-18" in length. Larger logs from 25" to 36" diameter are split into fourths. I used the Earthquake 5 ton electric splitter to break these split down further to fit my fireplace insert. Up until this year I split by hand on my knees using a Estwing 4 lb maul that is the size of a hatchet. I can't use a regular s...

Awesome machine
Would RecommendWhat a great time saver this quiet machine is for me. I used to chop my kindling and fire starters which took it's tole on my shoulders. Now it takes no time at all and I'm free to do other things. I highly recommend it. And, it came completely assembled and filled with oil.

Good investment!
Would RecommendFirst season using the tool. Needed a buddy to put the tool on its legs. Read the operating manual - useful! Works well! Split down a half-cord of last winter deadfall in less than an hour including stacking in the basement bunker. I found I could split wood into any size I wanted - from halves to quarters to near kindling. Did have one piece “explode” trying to split through a big knot - users should consider a face shield and avoid standing over the action directly. I am very satisfied with th...
