Worst tape ever

This tape did not adhere to my walls no matter how much pressure I applied. Finally just threw it out. Waste of time and money. I expected so much more from Duck. Going back to my old standby.

Zero Stars but that’s not an option!

This is the worse painters tape I have ever purchased. Paint bleeds under. Would NEVER use again!! I took time in the middle of painting to leave this review, that’s how displeased I am!

Ruined job

Used this brand of clean release tape for the first time today while painting my daughters room. Taped this morning, painted this afternoon and removed tape tonight only to be left with a thin blue line at the edge of the paint. The tape didn’t tear, it just left blue behind on all the trim! Never had this happen before with 3M- we are so disappointed and upset.

Murdered my wall paint

I chose Duck Tape brand "Clean Release" painters tape because I trusted in the brand, and expected only the best results. I was thoroughly disappointed, and angry when, after less than 40 minutes of adhesion to my bathroom walls (which had been painted with top of the line Behr Semi-Gloss paint) were destroyed upon removal of the tape. Now I have to buy new paint (hope it matches) and repaint those (2) walls.

Tore the paint off of the wall

Very disappointed. I used this tape to paint trim. It appeared to seal very well, however, when I peeled off the tape, it took huge chunks of the wall paint with it. Will not be using it again.

3d Printing meet Clean Release!

Raft adhesion problems? Not anymore... Clean Release is here! I have been testing every masking tape on the market for 2 months looking for the perfect raft adhesion transfer tape for a lack of a better name. Its a temporary tape some people use for 3D Printers. I place a removable tape on the print bed to increase part adhesion during printing. Disappointing tape

We bought this thinking we were gonna get some progress with the 14 day tape,nope it was a compleye pain wouldnt come off in full it ripped so close to the ceiling i was using a putty knife and it kept ripping that way even without any paint on it. My neck is so sore and my opinion its a pure disappointment after 2hrs. Plus its very expensive. Lesson learned.

This Product SUCKS

Used it to mask the high gloss latex wall paint, while I repainted the heater registers when I was done, and I removed the tape the wall paint came off with the tape.

Useless Tape

I dont like leaving negative reviews, but I'm frustrated by the complete non-performance of this tape. This tape simply doesnt stick...to anything. I tried it on a variety of surfaces and this tape has virtually no adhesive-- it falls off after a couple of minutes. I only used about 20% of the roll but threw the rest in the garbage. Complete waste of money.

horrible tape

This is the most horrible tape to use for painting..... will not stick at all and peels after what little stick it has.... do not waste time and money on this tape.....

This product doesn't work

The quick release tape is so quick it releases from the wall before you have a chance to paint. Don't waste your money.

Ripped paint/bleed

I'm an experienced painter and never had problems with other painters tape. This product ripped paint off my walls, and completely bled through the tape onto my trim. Horrible product. I bought this because it was inexpensive and now I see why. I will spend more on a better product next time.

Horrible product

I have tried getting it to stick to metal, wood, paper, plastic, all with very poor results. I thought maybe I purchased a defective roll but after reading the reviews it is highly unlikely. What a waste of money, will be going back to using Scotch 3m blue tape.

Blue tape

Doesn't stick don't have to worry about the easy release because it won't stick waste of my money.

This sucks

Your tape will not stick to anything but paper!!! Has ruined my paint job, and now what do I do with 5 large rolls of tape that won't stick????

Does not stick to anything

It will not even stick to the surface that I need to paint. I can't even use it to hold up a piece of paper on the wall there's no stickiness to it and definitely has no adhesive. I'm usually impressed with Duck brand products but this is the 99 cent store version of blue tape it doesn't work & I can't return it so now I'm just out my money and still have to go buy new blue tape.

Awesome Product

I am an artist and crafter and use this tape all the time. I am working on a series of painting/drawings where I put down the tape and then paint over it. Once the paint dries, I peel it off and draw on the empty canvas. The tape works amazingly. I lines are precise and the tape rarely lets paint underneath, even on canvas. My only complaint is the price. I wish it was just a little cheaper.

my hubby helped me tape but put it on the wrong place so i had to take it off and start over it came off and went back on in a jiff luv it
