Would RecommendBought this drill last night and cut two 2 3/4" holes through 1/2" steel. I started my 6 amp drill on fire trying to get through the first hole the day before. This drill handled both incredibly smoothly and quietly. It got pretty warm but no smoke. I won't be doing anything this difficult often so this drill exceeds my expectations.
A strong VSR Drill
Would RecommendI needed a strong drill for mixing mud, cement, grout and the like. This drill met it's first task well except that the VSR isn't as variable as I would like...the trigger is way to sensitive and it's difficult to run at slow RPM's. However, that being said, the drill did the job well-- mixing tile cement and grout without too many messes. I will happily carry this drill over my battery powered RIDGID drills that just won't hold the charge you need to mix the products described.

Incredible value for the $$
Would RecommendThe Good: This drill does the job without hesitation. I needed something that would drive lag bolts into wood (6") and drill holes with attachments requiring 1/2" - the variable speed is responsive, the power is almost unbelievable, but the built in clutch is nice so you don't break your wrist when the bit hangs (you'll still want to have a firm grip - trust me). The forward handle is spectacularly easy in design and function, and very useful for repetitive drilling (this drill is heavy). What ...

Good basic drill
Would RecommendI needed a drill in a hurry because my Lowes store doesn't carry large SDS Plus non impact drill bits. they told me to go on line but I needed a drill in a hurry. I had some half inch holes to drill through hard steel that was beyond the capability of my cordless drill. This drill stood out as a good-priced tool with a 10amp motor. It performed well. I would have preferred a drill with a key less chuck but they did not have a corded drill like that in stock. So this does the job good. I solved m...

Very good drill.
Would RecommendI am a small frame woman and I find the drill strong, yet light and easy to use. I like the flexibility of the grip handle and the fact that I can rotate it easily to adapt to any job I need to do.

What a powerful drill!!
Would RecommendI was looking for a corded drill and purchased this one. Thanks to the reviews by others it helped with my decision. This drill will not disappoint. It is powerful! The only non-positive thing is it's a bit on the heavy side (weight) . Overall, excellent product by DEWALT!

What a great drill
Would RecommendI bought this 4-8-2013 to remove decking boards to replace, after smelling my 3/8 getting very hot, went and got this one. This drill has great torque in which I needed to get the screws out. Must say need to be careful on the trigger though, did strip out a few square head bits, but that was expected. I have slowly been replacing all of my corded tools with Dewalt. What a great product. Will continue to buy Dewalt.
powerful
Would RecommendLots of power, great RPM. Nice drill, the trigger is VERY sensitive which can be great but can also surprise you when picking up a plugged in drill!

Powerful, but with great power, comes great weight
Would RecommendThis thing powers through my drilling and driving needs. The only downsides is that with that power comes two caveats: the weight and the power. I've twisted small drill bits right off while drilling with this thing, and it's more than capable of driving a screw right through the wood boards of the fence I'm repairing. But once you've gotten the hang of the light touch needed with this, you only have to contend with the weight. It's not obscene, but it's not light by any means. My wife finds i...

Dyno-Drill
Would RecommendI have owned a lot of drills in the past and this Dewalt is the most versatile and the most powerful drill I have ever used. I just completed a job, drilling through 4 inches of concrete and it punched through it like it was butter. I would highly recommend this drill for anyone, novice or an expert.
Best Drill I've Ever Had
Would RecommendI use this drill at work nearly every day. It has been one of the best drills I've ever owned. I use it to drill holes up to 1" in diameter through A2 tool steel. It has plenty of power to do everything I need it to do. I highly recommend this drill.
Good, versatile drill for the money
Would RecommendI bought this to mix cement for a project I was working on. Did the job adequately, but if I did the work for a living, I would get a more specialized drill. For longer term use, I've been using it routinely for drilling studs to run wires. Won't replace a Hole Hawg, but for its size, it has a lot of power and I've never overheated it. Good tool.
Great Drill
Would RecommendI beat this thing up pretty hard and it keeps going, I would say my only negative would be that it took me a little getting used to because I went from an 18v cordless that had really good control over lower speeds where this one is a bit more of a get up and go type drill but I'm used to it now and it's great!
This drill rocks! After drilling some holes for my project I had to test this puppy with a 1" spade and stacked wood to see how fast it would go. This thing didnt slow down at all and since I'm a home hobbyist it will probably last the rest of my life now that I'm done mistreating it.
