Works great! I used it to drill holes in sheet metal all day and it didn't skip a beat. Very powerful, but smooth and precise.
Great Drill!
Would RecommendI burned out my last drill boring rebar holes in RR ties. This new drill powered thru with no problem at all!

Powerful and compact enough
Would RecommendI bought the DeWalt which was a few dollars cheaper at first, but felt it was too high rpm for the 1/2" holes I was drilling in concrete for masonry bolts. This is a better match speed wise. I needed something more compact that the big Bosch available from the tool rental, too fit into 24" high cripple walls in the basement with a 7" long bit. It does that fine, plenty of power. I would rate it even higher if it had an adjustment screw to limit the top speed the way my old Craftsman drill did.

Dewalt keeps getting better!
Would RecommendI am very impressed with this drill motor and getting more enthused about Dewalt in general. Their tools are proving to be solid, strong and durable. This drill is not light but has amazing power and an increased rpm range. The handle on this latest iteration from Dewalt is even more comfortable than the last one.

Powerful Pro Quality Drill!
Would RecommendThis drill will do the big jobs with ease and has so much power you could twist the shaft off a hole saw bit if you aren't careful, don't ask me how I know that.

Drill has some Power!!!
Would RecommendBought this drill to use with a mortar mixer. Pricey, but most Dewalt tools are. It does an excellent job and has more than enough power to handle mixing a 5gal bucket of mud. Support handle is nice. Trigger pull is spot on and is very responsive.
