What Customers Are Saying
The cordless planer is generally well-received, with users praising its power, performance, and convenience of being cordless. It is capable of producing smooth, precise cuts on a variety of wood types. However, some users have experienced issues with blade alignment and the lack of a dust collection system, which can make the tool messy to use. A small number of users also reported the planer breaking down after a relatively short period of use. Overall, the cordless planer is a capable and versatile tool, though improvements to the blade adjustment and dust management systems could further enhance the user experience.

Would RecommendThis is an excellent planer. I just purchased it and love it. I already have about ten or so DeWalt power tools and love their tools. The one problem I have is that it does not come with a dust bag, and it is EXTREMELY dusty, depending how deep you plane the material. To make it worse, I cannot find anything on the DeWalt web page. They indicate a number for the dust bag, but when I search for it, it responds that it cannot find it.
Smooth Cuts
The DEWALT 20V MAX XR Brushless Cordless Planer has been a workhorse in my shop. I’ve used it on countless woodworking projects — from shelves to every cabinet in my home — and it’s performed flawlessly on each one. The cuts are smooth, precise, and consistent, and the brushless motor gives it plenty of power to handle hardwoods without bogging down. I really appreciate how easy it is to change blades — it’s quick, simple, and keeps downtime to a minimum. The depth adjustment knob is accurate a...

If you want people to buy your products BACK IT!
Would RecommendWell I think that as far as the De walt goes the product ia a very good product, well made, However that stands to be seen, In how well do they back their products, Because if they back their products the way Ridgid does, when you call to tell them that their brad nail gun stop working and you try to get them to fix it, and they tell you that no one works on Ridgid in Waco and tell you to contact Ryobi and I did and they never did contact me again, to this day! That tells you a lot about Ryobi.

Not Square Whatsoever
Would Not RecommendCould not align this thing to save my life, and the included blade guide is worthless. Front and rear shoes were not even square with each other. Drum must be crooked too since it shaves deeper on one side than the other, and even gouges with the dial set to zero. I expected better from Dewalt and I am returning this.
replacement blades
Would RecommendI'm giving this a 4 star rating omly because my store does NOT carry replacement blades. They say its an omly dewalt product from website and that's difficult to find there.
