I bought over 30 of them and thought that if I added extra glue to the joints, I would surely prevent them from splitting like what so many others reported. I was sadly mistaken. Really not that good.
Would Not RecommendThese are poorly constructed. The joints don’t last and even when painted/stained, the pieces of wood warp really badly. I’ve had to replace mine every 3-4 years. If it weren’t for the design of my deck, I would use a different style. I actually have switched over to the copper post toppers on one of my other decks.
