Would RecommendThis little gadget has a powerful magnetic to hold on to the bits. It's just the right size and the color makes it easy to find. I will be using this quite a bit on projects.
A Shockingly Simple Solution
Would RecommendI confess, electrics make me nervous. Not as much as plumbing, but not far off. And according to eShok-Guard, some 87% of professionals even get lit up. So I'm right to be worried. But when I came across this drill bit guard, it all made sense. Of course you need to do the basics - turn off the power, check for cables behind the wall, and don't do something really dumb like drill directly above the vertical line of a power outlet. But who knows who did the wiring behind the wall and if the...

Be safe around power. Great quality
Would RecommendFound the item to be a must have. Whenever working near power it’s aways best to play it safe. Bits were very snug and doubt they will come loose. Magnet held bit secure. Good quality should last.
Super Strong
Easy to use. Super strong magnet. I like the orange color, makes it easy to find. I hope that this product will last. With it being a Crecent product, it should be of good quality.
Not Shocked ; )
Would RecommendSo I am pleased to report, that I didn’t have to use the e-shokguard feature! The bit holder is great and when they say it has a magnetic holding feature, they aren’t kidding! The magnet is very strong which is great! I’ve had other magnetic bit holders that don’t really hold the bit. The isolated bit holder is surprisingly lightweight and I can assure you I will be using it around electrical, to protect myself and my tools! Cool tool!
Bit holder
Would RecommendA great addition to my drill accessories. The insulated eSHOK-GUARD is a plus. The magnetic feature cuts down on lost time replacing dropped bits. I would recommend this to my friends and family.
Works great
Would RecommendThis bit just arrived and I immediately put it onto my drill to put it to use. It works just as it should. I was using it to do a job out by my pool. I was tired of my bits coming off of my drill when using them and with this that is not the case. This helps them to stay put while using my drill! What. a relief it is to use while doing the job.
Magnetic, shock-proof bit holder!
Would RecommendIf you are looking for a magnetic bit holder THAT REALLY HOLDS ONTO THE BIT! Look no further! This baby has such a SUPER GRIP that I looked for a release button or slide before finally using my needle nose pliers to remove my bit from the holder! YOUR BIT WILL NEVER JUST FALL OUT! To top it off, this particular unit is also SHOCK PROOF! Protects us do-it-yourselfers from the eye-opening experience of saying “Dang! I should have flipped off the power before I started this project!” Up to 1000 ...
Neat device
So far this isolator is functioning well. It is supposed to provide insulation against electric shock and seems like it will work as advertised. I usually take appropriate action to not have this issue but it's nice to know that I have a backup plan if something fails. It is also impact rated but have not had the opportunity to try that function. I'm pleased with it overall.
Well built
Would RecommendThe main feature of this bit is to protect the user/drill from electrical shock in live electrical environments. It certainly accomplishes this at 110V. There is a spring that grips the bits very tightly. A good amount of force was required to remove bits, so they certainly aren't going to fall out. The magnetism is there, but it is weak, at least with the bits I had. It wouldn't even hold a tiny screw on the shaft. But it was enough to hold a screw on the head of a P2 bit. And it did hold a s...
Excellent bit holder!
Would RecommendThis is a great bit holder. It definitely holds it tight, no chance of slipping out while doing its job. It is a little longer and wider than my regular bit holder. But the fact it will protect me from an electrical shock is something my regular bit holder doesn't do, so I will make it work when I work near wires.
Great Idea/Poor
Would Not RecommendThis is one of those items that is a great idea. It is manufactured to help prevent electric shocks, etc. while using it. It is utilized on a cordless drill and helps change drill bits and screw driver bits, etc. with ease. Sounds great, it has a magnet and and a retaining clip to hold the bit in place. Unfortunately, I could not get the bit to release from the bit holder without using a vise and hammer. I kid you not. Great idea, just retaining clip too strong.
An extra layer of safety
Would RecommendThis driver appears to be very well built, and after testing it on several nuts, feel confident that it works as well as conventional drivers. Its advantage of course is its insulation; I don't advise anyone to work on a live circuit, but I have had need to on rare occasion in the past, and this would have been a nice insurance policy. I pulled out my multi-tester, and confirmed that there is no conductivity between the driver end and the shank. If you deal with electricity regularly, this would...
UL Listed For Up To 1000 Volts
Would RecommendThis is a excellent tool if you need to work with or around power like home wiring. The tool is UL list for up to 1000 volts and uses a magnet to hold your hex head tools. If you are going to use the snub hex tools then you may need a pair of pliers to get the tool out of the magnet holder but that's not a big deal. The 1/4 inch tool is safe to use with a impact driver and seems to be made to with stand abuse.
Excellent Isolation
Would RecommendI used it on a hot electrical breaker and it worked great. I measured the voltage on the socket wrench side and there was no voltage. Excellent isolation.
Great if you need insulation, pass if not
Would RecommendThis is a solid, well built magnetic bit driver. Heavy in the hand and well made ceramic impress quality, making it suitable for general around the house electrical work with a few caveats. First off, it's rather short with under 2" length for the insulation... Meaning if you're in a deep box, it's not going to reach. Second, the magnet is just short of useless. Even with a mini bit installed, it had very little magnetism to an actual screw. Even a very modest shank 1.2 inch screw will bare...
Great insulted bit holder
Would RecommendReceived this bit holder free to review, so I beat it up. And it took every bit of it. Actually used it to hang a cabinet in the garage first, which wasn’t really beating it up but there is a lot of wiring in the walls and so the added safety of an insulated holder cannot be overstated. Then I proceeded to impact drive screws and lag bolts into wood and steel, none of which seemed to affect the holder. The retention ring is one of the best I’ve dealt with—it holds the bit in firmly but you don’t...
Take out the retainer
Would Not RecommendMy initial reaction was wow, what a big piece. Compared to another bit I had, weighed in at 13/4 oz vs3/4 oz. It's labeled as a eshok-guard, which means it will protect you against electrical shock. I didn't test that out, but did connect a continuity tester to both ends and came up blank. Decided to put some different bits in it to see how it works. First was a double ended screwdriver. As you can see, the bit could go in far enough to hold. Then I used a screwdriver bit with a hex end. This ...
