Cool Bit Holder

There was several times that I needed a Bit Holder. This one goes two steps further by being Impact and also Electrical Insulator. I had a electrical panel that one of the connections was corroded. I needed a wire brush to cleanup the surface before reinstalling the breaker. This worked perfectly. Exactly what I needed. Quick and easy to use. Makes changing bits a breeze.

Perfect bit

Really solid and well protected but adapter. definitely worth the price. I do wish that I could find larger packages of various sizes but this 1/4” works for most. Having the bit be insulated helps tremendously

Strong magnet+protection

I ordered this specific bit holder because I do some electrical work occasionally and liked the fact it protects against up to 1000v. The magnet holds bits very well and fits snug inside the bit holder. I’ve attached a picture comparing it to a normal 3/8” impact bit and it’s only about 1/4” longer. This bit holder is very sturdy and seems like it’ll last a long time. I’m thoroughly impressed with it which doesn’t happen often. I highly recommend this Crescent Apex bit holder.

Highly recommend

I have gone through a few bargain bit holder sets that were not impact rated. Chose to try an impact rated bit holder, and got shock protection as a bonus. I wanted to test it with scrap 2 x 4’s and 2 ¾” screws before bigger projects start next weekend. This is a practice test I run new cordless drill / driver through. Not impressed

The bits are difficult to get in and out. Plus, it is very wobbly. Not impressed with this item at all. Would not recommend it, unless you need the high voltage.

Crescent Apex - Magnetic Impact Bit Holder

This bit holder held my bit real good. A little tight fit at first. Has a great magnetic hold to it. Holds the bits firmly in place. No problems with the electrical current. The shaft was not exactly straight, but it worked just fine. 1/4" shaft fit my drill good and would fit 1/4" drive socket screwdrivers and ratchets. One problem I had was the bits were not long enough to fit into some tight places.

Nice Saftey tool

It is reassuring that I'm not going to get electrocuted when driving in screws to a wall which may have a electrical line behind the drywall. Very little cons to this device and only once has diameter been an issue with space.

Works As Expected

This impact bit holder is good when you need to work on a live electrical panel or outlet. I left that part up to my husband. He said the bit holder has a VERY strong magnet and holds the bit in place very well. In fact, he needed a pair of pliers to remove the bit - that's apparently a good thing! While he says you should ALWAYS turn off electricity prior to working on a panel (he is an electrician), this type of item will work well in a pinch.

Will come in handy

I didn't think I'd have a need to use this bit holder often, since I am a DIY homeowner, but I thought I'd be happy that I had it when I did need it. It's well made and solid--it seemed like it would stand up to pressure put on it. However, my Dewalt drill bits don't fit.

Great addition to my toolbox!

This is a great product when it is necessary to work around “live” electricity. There have been times when it was not practical to shut down a circuit to do a minor repair. Extreme caution must be exercised when doing this. This tool will minimize an accident. However, even with this tool extreme caution must be used when working on energized circuits. Shock guard bit holder

I got this for 2 reasons to protect against shock when working on electrical and magnetic holder. It holds the bits very secure and you half to rock to get it out with some effort. While the magnet grabs the bits it does not hold screws, so was disappointed in that. SO it really is only best for shock protection.

It does work

Liked the product but only gave it four out of five because of its bulky size making it difficult to get into some tight spots like installing a breaker but it definitely stopped you from welding the sides of your screwdriver or worse yet getting a nice zap.

Shock protection!

This isolated bit holder worked well for updating some light fixtures and switches in our home. This 1/4” bit fit perfectly into the drill and the magnet really held it securely. The only problem that I encountered was getting used to the extra bulk of it.

Quality Impact Bit Holder

This isn't a little cheap feeling bit holder. It's sturdy and well made. Naturally it's goes in the impact drill with no problem and holds the bits very well. Strong magnet, even if you shake it like crazy it won't drop the bit. I'm not able to speak on the voltage protection, hopefully I'll never have to find out. But this has become one of my favorite bit holders for my job.

Handy for electrical work

I've used plenty of traditional magnetic bit holders for various construction and woodworking projects. However, when it came to electrical projects I did not have a good magnetic bit holder that was insulated and rated for electrical use so I got this one. First, it is rated to handle 1000 volts. This is accomplished by using a two-part shaft system with insulating material in the middle that isolates the bit holder electrically (see attached photo). Firm grip

My number one gripe with extenders and bit holders is that they don't grip your bit well. This one holds on the best I've ever had. As for the 1000 v protection, I can't comment. I definitely use around electricity but as a rule, shut off the power. Protective equipment or not. I also have no intention of testing the claims on purpose.

Looks nice

Was excited to try this out. Put my bit in it and did what I needed to do. It held the bit in place to do the job.....and it held the bit...and held the bit....I can't remove the bit!! No matter how I try, the bit will not come out. My photos show my bit locked in.

Good little bit holder

The Magnetic Impact Bit Holder works very well,but it's a little bulky the base for getting into tight spaces,like in a electrical panel,I was able to get it into the electrical panel but kept getting it caught on the wires coming out.

Worked well, but magnet could be stronger.

This is a great device , I’m very clumsy holding screws and drilling . The only down fall was the magnet could have been a bit stronger, I still managed to drop a few pieces

Works well with piece of mind

Love that it’s magnetic. Bits stay in place. Not as concerned when working near electrical with shock guard. Convenient and not too bulky. Website will not allow me to fix incorrect ratings. Ease of use and value should be 5 stars.
