Would RecommendI recently received this bit holder to use on a few projects around the house. It is built exceptionally durable, and held up very well to use with my impact drill. I did not test it on 1000v, but I was able to verify with a multimeter that no electricity passes from the bit to the shaft. It is a little bulky for work in tight spaces, but that is understandable given the ability to resist electrical shock and impact. There is a snap ring that retains the bit and it almost does too good of a j...
Great bit holder
Would RecommendIt seems to be very well made, i of course haven’t tried it out on live electric but is nice to have just in case i get into something hot. I never intentionally work with live electric but occasionally it just happens and to know I’m insulated is a help
Love this bit!
I’ve used this bit non stop for the last 3 day and I’m digging it. When I use this the my bit stays in the drill. The screw doesn’t get lost every time I goof. The only problem I had when using long screws I had a little trouble balancing the screw in, but other then that It will be a staple for my impact drill.
Good product
Would RecommendThis bit holder worked very well, installed easily, accepted and held driver tips well, and seemed to have enough magnetic force to hold the screws that I was working with securely.
Apex bit holder
I found it was a little bulky in tight spots but other than that great product. The retainer clip dose hold bit better than magnet alone . All in all had great results
insulated bit holder
Would RecommendThe insulated bit is nice does not pull to the metal around the screw helping to not hit any other objects when reaching into tight spaces It has saved time from having to manually extract or insert fasteners in tight spaces as the other magnetic bits will stick themselves to surfaces while trying to reach into the metal box
NIce Bit
Would RecommendBit works great. I did not try the electrical safety piece of it, but as a bit works great. Has a magnet to help hold bits and screws good. Recommend if you are looking for a bit to protect from electric shock.
Strong magnet
The magnet on this bit holder is super strong. It takes a bit of effort to pull the bit out. If you are working on a project and changing bits frequently, this could become annoying. Standard bits fit tight and I like the fact it insulated up to 1000v if you are working around electric.
Safety First
Would RecommendI had never thought about this before, but sometimes will work around electrical sources while operating a drill or screw gun. It would not be good to accidentally make contact with high voltage while operating a bit driver, so if this attachment is going to insulate me from that, then it is a must have for my tool box. This bit holder holds my bits snuggly and gives the protection needed. I did test the magnet with a small long object and found it to be fairly strong. It handles screws and othe...
Needs work
Would Not RecommendThis bit holder appears to be every thing I had hoped for: Magnetic tip, impact rated and electrical isolation. The magnetic properties are a fail. I could not even get my bit to hold a small screw. I installed my 6" number 2 Phillips bit into the holder. There was a nice, satisfying "click" when the bit bottomed out against the magnet in the holder. Unfortunately, there is also a snap ring internal to the holder which has a death grip on my bit (note that this bit has the same shaft profil...
Great bit holder!
Would RecommendThis is possibly the best impact bit holder I've ever used. I've always had problems with mine in the past either not holding onto the bit very well or having things wobble around in the holder, particularly longer bits. However this holder had none of those problems. It grabbed on firm to the bits but not quite hard enough that I couldn't pull them out when I was done, and it even held longer bits in with a minimal amount of wobbling. My only potential drawback for it is that it's pretty bulky,...
Bit holder
Would RecommendThis bit holder has some limitations. 1. The outer diameter of the holder can prevent it’s use when the fastener is in a recessed area. 2. If you insert a bit that is not retained by a retaining ring you cannot remove the bit without tools. It’s a little “fiddily” to remove the bit. As a bit holder that is impact rated it’s an adequate bit holder. I would only recommend it for use when the possibility of a shock hazard is present. This is a specialized use product.
Insulated
Would RecommendThis is a great tool for me because I am an electrician and it is insulated. It was very easy to attach, standard driver bit fit right in and it was ready to use. I've used it for several days and have had no problems with it at all! Worked exactly the way I thought it would and I'm very pleased with it.
Magnetic Marvel!
Would RecommendThis product works very well. Love the anti-shock feature and the strength of the magnet. It is very easy to load in bits. The only "opportunity" is the magnet is so strong that I had to use leather/gripper gloves or pliers to remove the bit.
Usable Once
Would Not RecommendI inserted a bit into the holder and then tried to remove it out for a half hour. I even put it in a vice and pulled but no luck, the bit is in it to stay and it's not the magnetism that's holding it. Although there are no instructions with the tool on how to remove a bit, I'm assuming that it just pulls out like other holders, but it doesn't. I've added 3 photos but they don't really show anything useful.
Strong impact bit holder
Would RecommendThis product is heavy duty and feels like it too. The bit holder really grabs your bit and makes sure its not going to move. I would have no fear using this in an electrical box feeling protected. This product has given me a safe option to use when I am working on electrical projects around the house.
Strong bit holder
Would RecommendThe bit holder has a very strong magnet that holds the bit tight. It fits in a drill or an impact driver. I started using it on the disassembly my deck. Works great! I will also be using it the install new deck boards. I have not used it with anything electrical yet, but it nice to know that it protects against electrical shocks. Well constructed.
Shock protection
Would RecommendWhen it comes to working on my home’s electric I typically leave it to the professionals. However, I’ll be replacing some outlets and light switches, along with a built-in Hollywood light bar in my medicine cabinet, and the Crescent Apex Bit Holder will offer perfect protection against any possibility of electric shock. It holds a bit with a vice-like grip, is solid, very durable and should last a lifetime (but there’s a warranty if you do run into any issues). For a do-it-yourselfer this bit...
UL Approved Bit Holder
Would RecommendThis product is well made. It can be used for electrical installations and for other projects where a bit i used. It insulates all bits up to 1000 volts. Can use various bits with a hex shaft.
Subpar product
Would Not RecommendI like the fact that it has electrical insulation, but the magnet in it is not very powerful. The magnet doesn't seem to be working very well. My bit got stuck in it and not from the magnet. It was too tight of a fit. I wasn't very impressed with this bulky product
