Great Trimmer-leaving as completely behind

I bought this trimmer after initially purchasing the next model down. I returned that trimmer for this one because the next model down extends line every time you stop/start the motor which in my opinion is a huge waste. Very disappointed

So, I’ve never owned a cordless trimmer but after many years of carrying around a gas powered I thought I would give it a try. I selected this model based on its 40 minute run time and the size of my yard. I let the battery charge to full capacity as recommended and this morning I decided to give it a test spin. Great bang for your buck.

I originally bought this for my 8 year old to help me keep our half acre groomed since it’s easy to operate and much lighter than my gas weed eater. After using it myself for 2 mows so far without charging it, I am impressed it has the power to easily handle all my needs and not nearly as straining on my back because it’s pretty light weight.

Brushless Motor, but Lack of Quality?

Got this unit because it was Craftman's brushless version. What I was surprised was that it did not have the edger feature, like that of the model right below this one (and cheaper), and also didn't have the automatic string advance. The manual string advance still has me puzzled and I didn't find the instructions to be useful. I think the string spool is actually tangled, preventing the string from advancing. Craftsman trimmer

After assembling the trimmer and fully charging the battery, I was only able to get 15 minutes of run time before the battery died. I again fully charged the battery and had the same results with only 15 minutes of run time. Needless to say, I packed the trimmer up and returned it to Lowes.

Not safe to operate. Should do a recall.

This trimmer kicks debris hitting you on the body and in the face. I will be returning it.

Lightweight, easy to use. I wanted something that I could use easily without my husbands help.

Lightweight and is great at handling the usual yard trimming.

Strong Battery Dual String Trimmer

Only drawback is that this cannot also be used as an edger.

Great Residential Trimmer

I have been using this trimmer for about three weeks and am very happy with it. With one fully charged battery I can trim my entire 1/3 acre property, edge the driveway and sidewalk, and use my Craftsman V20 blower to clear the clippings from the driveway and sidewalk. The one thing I don’t like are the ergonomics of the straight chassis. The guard does not provide adequate protection. Debri is able to hit you in the face from opening just behind the head.
