gREAT TRIMMER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Buying this trimmer was a great decision. The reduced noise level from being battery powered is a big plus. Additionally the weight and balance of the unit make it very easy to use.

A little to powerful.

I've owned this trimmer for over a year and it's worked well, till I melted it. I was pushing it pretty hard and it should of taken the punishment but well it didn't. It has a three year warranty so Craftsman is sending me a new one. I'm relieved that it was pretty easy getting a replacement. Craftsman and DeWalt are both owned by Stanley Black and Decker so if you people can make a standard battery you'd be my hero.

Great to start but doesnt last

I’ve had this unit for a little more than a year now and have incredibly fustrated with it. Its lightweight, relatively quiet and free from the need to mix fluids. The first issue was the spool. It never seemed to feed correctly and finding the right replacement spools is impossible. Fortunaley there are other options that that involves replacing the head. The second issue that is going to force me to abandon this unit is overheating/battery capacity. Even at low speed, i cannot get my entir...

Can't find replacement spools.

Bought this to keep with my camper as I go some places that require some trimming. Worked great until iI ran out of trimmer string. I can't find replacement spools. Is a great trimmer. Just have no string to to trim with.....and i aready threw out the old empty spool.

20v string trimmer

Nice trimmer but it it only 6 months old and I cannot find replacement spools anywhere. Not impressed. Wont be of much value without replacement parts. Sad

Spool Replacement

I love my weed wacker. First purchase along with a Craftsman mower when I bought my first house. But misplaced the black attachment inside the spool head and now it’s completely useless. Nobody stocks this part on the shelf. It takes a week to come in the mail and by then I’ve lost 2-3 weeks edging my yard. It’s a hassle almost enough to make me not buy Craftsman again. Did I mention I have 20-25 Craftsman power, hand and outdoor tools? Come on, Craftsman!

Stopped working

Bought this on April 27 2020. Used it one season. Took it out this year and used it once. Had been stored in a dry basement. It just stopped working today, 5-18-21. Fleet Farm is useless for help. Will try to fix but as I am disabled it will be a task. Craftsman USED to be quality ut not happy with this garbage I bought. This is an HONEST REVIEW.

Great tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact I don’t have to deal with gas, or any cords. I just charge the battery, and I’m good to go. It’s lightweight, quiet, doesn’t vibrate, turns on every time, and powerful. I can do my whole lawn (1 acre) on a single battery. Would recommend to anyone.

Same Battery as other tools, but light

This uses the same battery system as my drills, but this is light and powerful enough for me to use for yard work that is more than 100 feet from my house. I prefer electric for a system like this that is not used every week. The only combustion tool that I use is the lawnmower, so this is perfect

Stops working after a year

We've recharged it over and over but now it barely starts and the moment it touches a blade of grass it immediately stops

We bought this for our son after a recent accident that broke his left arm. He was very impressed with its ease of use and the power that it has.

Battery dosnt last long on "HI"

I'm giving two stars only because others had positive experience with battery my experience was not the same. I am on my 3rd charge and have only gotten around my house and halfway down a 30-40 ft ditch. Very disappointed and will know to stick to gas power next time.

Easy to Use, Uneasy about Durability

I bought my trimmer at a local Lowes store, and I've used it a handful of times so far. The trimmer is so easy to start compared to gas-powered models, which has backed up my choice of going battery-powered for such reasons. So I love that. I also love that I don't need to fool with the gas-oil mixture of fuel-powered trimmers. And at 6-foot-4, I like the extension option on the body length. Reluctant Recommendation

I have little problem with its performance, but it has a voracious appetite for string. The autofeed responds a bit too fast , especially when trimming at fence or slab

Battery Doesn't Last Long

This Model #CMCST920M1 has plenty of power on the 'high' setting (low setting isn't so hot) but the batteryn life just isn't as claimed. I've used and charged it 3x now and the most I can get is 35 minutes. We have an acre with lots of gardens which regularly need trimmed and this trimmer just isn't good enough.

no battery life

Bought this for my son to use. It is light weight, but the battery dont last. The first time he used it ran for 20 minutes. So I put the battery on charge and made sure it was fully charged and then I tried it out myself. I made sure to put it on low speed. It only ran for 25 minutes. The box said it will run up to 45 minutes. That is a lie and this product needs to be remarked and tell the truth. The truth is that it dont run for 45 minutes only 25 minutes. But it cuts good on grass.
