What Customers Are Saying

Customers praise this cordless trimmer's impressive cutting power and lightweight design, with many noting it handles thick weeds and edging tasks easily, often matching gas models on yards up to one-third acre. The brushless motor and bump-feed system earn consistent appreciation. However, battery life proves inconsistent—typically 15 to 25 minutes on high settings—prompting many to recommend purchasing a second battery. Durability concerns emerge around plastic components like the spool cap and guard, which some report crack easily. Despite these drawbacks, most customers remain satisfied with overall performance and convenience.

Very happy with this product!

Would Recommend

I've had this Battery-powered cordless trimmer now for almost 2 full lawn care seasons and I have been EXTREMELY pleased with it. I don't often write reviews but I felt this product deserved it. I struggled for years with the gas weedeaters...trying to keep them started & running, messing with the string every month or so (sometimes during each use), it was very frustrating. I wanted to try out the battery-powered options and I would definitely recommend this weedeater. After about the 5th o...

Worth the extra cost

Would Recommend

I was debating between this and Item: #1130004 Model: #CMCST910M1. (The brushed one.) I'm pretty sure paying a little more was worth it. I'm able to do my entire yard with the included battery but I also extra batteries from my other tools. The low power setting is more than strong enough and I rarely flip the switch to high. The bump feed works without the need for profanity. The less expensive model has a push button feed that some reviewers claimed broke. Edges well by simply turning tur...

Great trimmer for the price

Would Recommend

I have a bunch of the 20v tools already, so this was a no brainer for me to at least try this out before buying something more expensive. The good: Lightweight, 2 power settings, long battery life (5000sqft yard, doesn't even eat up half of the 4.0 Ah battery), pressure sensitive trigger (many cordless trimmers don't have this btw), easy length adjustable shaft, and easy to move support handle up and down, easy to replace string, relatively quiet. The bad: Unbalanced. The head is heavier than th...

Great Weed Wacker for home use

Would Recommend

I bought one a few days ago and i was very hesitant in doing so. I was affraid it wouldnt have the power i liked but i was wrong. It has two power settings low and high and honestly i can do my entire yard in low. I kick it up to high for very thick stuff. I have about an acre of land and it gets all around my house, seperate garage, maibox, ditch and a few trees and still has over half the battery left. If you only cut your grass once a month and have a ton to weed eat you may want to go gas bu...

Works as advertised

Would Recommend

Overall it works very well. For heavy growth I recommend you use high speed. Would be better if the guard was a little bigger. Use it for edging, trimming grass etc away from tree base and trimming grass at base of my rear fence.

Highly impressed

I initially got the lower model Craftsman trimmer...returned it and got this one. I'm very happy. This thing rips! Much stronger motor and double string puck! It's much stronger than the gas one i had been using for years. The collapsible shaft is nice for storage, and the small battery makes it light and easy to use... I'd highly recommend this one. The only issue i have is, I don't know why they put such small shields on them... It could use a bigger debris guard/shield

Line feed not working

Would Not Recommend

The line feed will not advance after pressing button multiple times. It also feeds itself when spool is full. Returning it though disappointed because battery life for the 4amp is great last's 40 mins on low settings.

The battery life outlasted me!

Would Recommend

I'm really love this battery operated string trimmer. It is lighter than the gas powered one I had and the battery life is more than enough for me. The battery charges pretty quickly and it is very easy to operate.

Light weight trimmer; heavy duty performance

Would Recommend

Purchased to replace my gas power very heavy trimmer. At age 88 just wore me out in short order. I can no longer use a saw type blade as I did on the old one but this works on the majority of thousands of feet, yes thousands, of trimming.

Craftsman String Trimmer

Would Recommend

My first cordless trimmer. Was pleasantly surprised with the duration of the charge (about an hour) and the overall performance. Every bit as good as my old gas trimmer. Plus no fuss in starts and no messy gas to deal with. I'm a convert!

Overall seems like a great trimmer. Battery lasts about 45 minutes. The first time I used it the spool head came off and I lost the spring. Still looking for a spring. Luckily I had another spool head that also fit, so I am still using the weed eater. I recommend you buy a second battery, so you can get a normal size yard done without waiting for the battery to recharge.
