Nothing but GE Repair Calls

We bought the CAFE series appliances for our kitchen when the CAFE line was just coming out (we had to wait for some of them it was so new). The refrigerator has been nothing but problems. GE repair guys here to fix/replace parts, only to be back with same issues. Now parts are no available, so basically stuck with an expensive hunk of metal.

Best fridge ever!

I LOVE this fridge with one exception… I never use the water or ice and it makes me change the cartridge on a timer! I have broken several water filters about 6 over the four years which is why it is a bit of a waste of $! The filters are ridiculously hard to get in and out

Looking a buying this

I’m worried by reading some of the reviews. It’s a lot of money not to be totally satisfied

Beautiful fridge

Love this fridge it has great features this fridge is a too and bottom but the ice maker and water dispenser are in the top but very thin doesn’t take a Lot of room

We installed it a little over a week ago, and so far I've loved the features of the fridge. The Keurig works great, and the hot water is really convenient. Make sure to install it with the floor brackets as the freezer and doors seal very well. It will roll if you try to open the doors with out anchoring it. Also, if you have hardwoods, do NOT roll it directly on the floor to put it in position. Roll it on a long piece of cardboard or some such until you push it the final feet. It will scrat...

Fridge

I love this fridge but since we have had it the repair men have been here 3 times to fix the keurig and it still is not making coffee . The third time the repair man is ordering a whole new component . Now he tells me I have to wait another 2 months !!! This is not acceptable! I do not recommend to purchase this model

Awesome Refrig!!

Spacious, great looking product, reliability!! GE has been in our home for more years than I can recall.

Nice but not high end

I’ve owned less expensive refrigerators in the past, LG being the most recent, and was more pleased. The GE Cafe is esthetically very nice and the technical features such as measuring your water, making coffee, etc are wonderful. However, it is NOT smudge proof which is one thing we were told was a feature. It smudges very easily and cannot be cleaned with stainless steel cleaner as that makes it work. Bad thermostat

Even setting the fridge temp at 39 degrees, items were still freezing in the fridge. Bought 2 thermometers to check temp inside. They showed temp of 33 degrees when fridge temp was set to 40, so obviously, this refrigerator fails to detect its own temp.

Quality refrigerator!

We’ve had the Cafe with Keurig feature almost a month now. It is beautiful, and the layout gives more room than our old side by side, so easy to find everything! The app with Alexa works perfectly for heating the water for coffee! I wish it was fingerprint resistant, but other than that we really love our new refrigerator!

Doors do not shut easily

I’m not in love. I bought it to match my range and the doors never shut with a nudge. You need to physically close them whole way, it’s annoying. It is leveled and we even made the back of the fridge a little lower to help. It didn’t. Looks good. Functions okay.

Has many features that are flexible

As per my promise that I would restate this fridge if it got fixed. Well it did. I called and the same day the repairman showed. Swapped the faulty circuit board and got us in touch with the WiFi support so we could connect with the fridge.

Awesome appliance

I love the rose colored handles on my black stainless steel refrigerator. I absolutely love having coffee maker on the outside door of my new GE refrigerator. I Love making coffee from the refrigerator. It takes an appliance off my kitchen counter. The inside is quite spacious and love having the extra space inside.

Good features

The interior has improved over previous model we had. The door storage is more than ample and lighting is fantastic.

Bad fridge

Bad Fridge! I purchased this refrigerator December of 2018 and haven’t had ice and water in about 6 months. Now the lights inside are dim. Never buying your products again and will not recommend to customers. Thanks for nothing

Looks and works great

We were excited to find a good looking, counter-depth refrigerator. This Cafe' has been everything we hoped for. It works great and has decent capacity compared to some other brands. We have appreciated the Keurig feature. We don't use that feature often, but it is nice to have available and the coffee comes out great. Good job Cafe'

Great refrigerator, but could have been fantastic

In general the refrigerator design, features and functionality are fantastic. HOWEVER, I love a good cup of coffee and therefore that was a feature that strongly influenced my purchase of this model. I was disappointed to learn that it did not have the improved brewing features of my countertop. Also the countertop model is easier to use and brews faster, which is important for the first cup of coffee in the morning.

I bought this product last year when we renovated our kitchen. I had my heart set on a panel ready fridge, but it was just not in our budget, so we decided on this fridge instead. I could not have been more pleased with our decision.
