Beautiful fridge. Horrible overall appliance.

The Fridge is beautiful and looks great but is of incredibly poor quality. We bought this fridge a year ago, and have had multiple issues. First there was condensation building up and running onto the floor. They replaced the seals and that issue improved. Then the ice maker wouldn't shut off and filled the freezer full of ice. They replaced the ice maker and now the ice maker is making a loud buzzing noise and not making ice. Stay away from GE appliances at all cost.

Doesn't work

Bought this fridge in November. Covid delays etc... Now we have it and it doesn't work. Parts are months out, this is unbelievable.

Great size and storage

We bought this a month ago and it has been great so far. The LED lighting is great and the interior space is amazing. We got the stainless steel and it looks fantastic!

After 20 years with a GE Monogram I wanted to continue with the brand. I love my Cafe!

Great lighting and temperature control

Perfect in my kitchen

So far, it seems to be exactly what we were looking for! Very stylish, we added the black stainless/copper handles. Seems to operate very well. The ice machine started cranking out ice immediately. Very happy with it to this point.

Terrible, terrible ice maker.

I cannot believe you would ever sell a product that is so outrageously defective. ICE IS EVERYWHERE! How many people need to complain before you come up with a permanent resolution? And don't refer to stupid videos that have nothing to do with this model. Is there a recall? A fix? PEOPLE, do not buy. You will hate it. Read all the reviews about hating the ice maker. You would swear this is the first appliance they ever made.

It's a little loud

This fridge looks great. It seems to run all the time and is much louder than I would expect for a brand new energy star appliance. It certainly cools well and makes ice well. All the equipment is on top, which makes for a much roomier interior, which is very nice, compared to my old fridge. Overall, I'm pleased with it, and glad I went with the Cafe line.

Dreadful loud, steady mechanical hum

We had a 48" side by side Cafe refrigerator installed last week. It is handsome looking and seems to cool well, but everyone in the house HATES the high pitched loud mechanical sound that emanates from the condenser area. Great Size and beautiful, but beware of icemaker

I purchased in March 2020, but it was August before it was delivered because of Covid! It's beautiful and has enough room, but the icemaker is a mess. It falls freely and constantly out of the icemaker onto the floor and all through the freezer compartment. And the icemaker itself is so loud, it is unbelievable. Cafe 48" Side-by-Side

The Cafe 48" Side-by-side meets my expectation. My previous side-by-side was a Sub Zero. The Cafe installed prefect into my space. If you are looking to replace a Sub Zero, I would recommend the Cafe.

Nice size and very useable

We bought this refer because it was a side by side with no indoor ice or water creating a very clean look. The only thing that we wish was different was the ice maker in freezer. It makes small ice cubes and larger ones would be preferred

USELESS

Going on 2 months without ice. We've had this fridge for 5 month. The ice maker worked fine for the first 3 months and then it stopped. GE sent a tech and the tech they sent couldn't even find the water filter. They sent another tech and as now they still have not fixed this issue and now we have ice build up inside the freezer. I would NOT recommend this product. It looks nice, but not worth the headaches and money.

Ice Issue

I bought this in Sept. 2019. There is a problem with the Ice machine. The ice does not stay in the bin. It flies out the back and when you open the freezer you’ll see ice throughout the freezer and it will fall on the floor. We’ve had a technician come to fix it but he was unable to find the problem. GE is working to resolve the issue but if it can’t be fixed that would be prohibit me from recommending this product.
