We love the size of both the fridge and freezer. It's spacious and easy to organize.

Not liking the ice maker location

So far I like it. But I don’t like the ice maker location. I am short and I have to reach in to get the ice, it’s a strain!!! I don’t know if I can remove it to empty it. I don’t think I am strong enough!

new refrigerator

Love the sleek clean look as well as the capacity. I replaced a sub zero with this GE and do not regret the change at all

Fan is annoying

The fan in the freezer constantly runs and makes noise.

Ice maker issue

purchased this Cafe fridge with our new build. Stopped making ice after 2 months of use, called home builder to have the appliance company for repair and replaced ice maker, GE came and replaced ice maker,left, said to wait 24 to 48 hours. Still didn't work -replaced 2nd ice maker, its making very little to no ice, told to check water line, and its has pressure and water feeding to fridge. Still not working. -GE came again for 3rd time, replaced the ice maker, it will make ice sometimes, but it...

ridiculous setup

nothing is obvious had to go through 3 people to turn the ice machine on. beta test next time

Great look and features at a competitive price

This Cafe refrigerator has the look and features of other built ins costing thousands more. We made the right choice for our new home.

GE tech couldn't figure out the problem.

GE Tech support could not figure out the problem and I was told need to get a new unit. It was working fine but twic when it wasn't cooling had to reset it one of the tech order a motherboard to be safe 2nd tech came to install it and left and never checked if its working all the food went bad and since than they couldn't figure out what to do except to tell me to get a new unit..

Love it

Everything works fine. Love the simple design. Surprisingly quiet.

Extremely disappointing

Looks beautiful, but it stopped working after 1 year. No cooling, no freezing, no good. Poor ice box design, ice cubes would fly all over the freezer compartment (when it used to work). It came with the wrong label and I couldn’t connect it to the app. Useless.

Such a great fridge. Plenty of space. Actually has more space than I was expecting.

Not Thrilled

Ice maker is designed to make it easy to accidentally push cubes out the back, spilling into the freezer and/or onto the floor. A problem when you have wood floors. Also the door groans on the hinges when oped/closed. No lubricant including silicon stops it. Top shelf on door is so close to top of door it’s useless.

Refrigerator review

This is a very nice refrigerator and does everything we need it to do. It is very attractive and looks great.

Just installed

Looks great and fit perfectly where the old Viking was. Can't wait to see how well it works.

Ice maker problems

We are having issues with ice maker. It is not producing any ice.

Piece of junk

It took almost 4 months from purchase to delivery and $10,000. And this is what we got: out of the box we found a bump on the refrigerator door, a top door that does not fully close, two jammed screws half way in the holes, a bent freezer rack wire and 6 mysterious holes filled with caulk (the caulk is now shrinking) on both of the refrigerator side walls. Note that only 6 photos are allowed on the review.

Didn’t work

We had to call the service department right away apparently the factory didn’t hook some fan wires up properly. The device tech got it to run and now it’s great.

Has some issues

I have a couple of issues with this "high end" refrigerator. First off, the ice maker inside the freezer is poorly designed. The ice overflows into the rest of the freezer and I'm forever having to go shelf by shelf and pick up ice cubes. The reservoir should be made in such a way as to contain the ice so it can be scooped without cubes flying all over the inside of the freezer. Second, another poor design, is the refrigerator door. When open, you have to open the door as far as possible ...
